I truly love my fellow laker fans like family. I came to this site nearly a decade ago while hearing someone talk about he trade checker on the radio and I have never left. Early on it was a lot of Laker talk which I loved and for the past 6 years or so it's been more about the moderating, which I enjoyed but I need a break.

I am hoping that me stepping back from all moderating will bring me back to what I love the most. Chatting with you guys about the Lakers, NBA and life in general.

1 of my most famous mods ever! Phil was one of those mods who let you be you until you went overboard.

He wasn't sensitive & didn't lock threads just because he didn't like the topic or disagreed with you. He just steer it back in the right direction & if you didn't listen then Uncle Phil came out!

Always enjoyed reading your posts on the GB, which is where I mainly post. My first few years on RealGM I posted almost exclusively here on the Laker forum. So much so that I was offered a mod position. But I knew then what I know now: that being a mod is a big responsibility and requires making sacrifices.

I have a lot of respect for those of you that keep the discussion around here fair and balanced. Phil/JohnBlack, you stood out among the pack. Here's to a well-deserved retirement.
