dude's entering his final season of his rookie deal

i for one don't want to have to offer him a 4 yr/40 mil deal

Rather sign Nick Young for 1/4 of what Klay will make

Klay's not 4 times better than Nick

And giving up a lottery pick on top of that?....we must be out of our damn minds

If we can get 13th + Klay, I think we have to pull the trigger.

He can ask whatever he wants....he's not getting it though

Heck,if we want a player in Klay's mold, why just not draft Stauskas.....he's gonna be just as good if not better than Klay in this league and he'll be on the rookie scale for 4 yrs,so we're not damaging our cap situation

not worth the 7th pick unless we get more in return.

You guys are really underrating Klay, he's one of the best shooters in the game. I'd venture to say better than Steph most of the time. Plus you're overlooking the fact that he solves a major issue of ours. Perimeter D. Plus the whole his dad was a Laker thing so he's going to want to stay here for awhile. People saying he's barely better than Nick that's a joke right? He plays in a system too doesn't need to be "the man"

Good point. I like Klay, too, but what else can he do aside from shoot? This is I want to know when his agent comes knocking on the door asking for the bank.

Forget Vonleh, Randle, Smart, Gordon, etc. I'd rather take a chance on Stauskas, LaVine, Harris and maybe even James Young than tackle on this terrible-contract-in-waiting.

Didn't say he's better than Nick

Said I'd rather have Nick for 4 mil a year than Klay at 12 mil a year....is Klay that much better that he warrants 4 times as much money as Nick? Both can score ,Klay is the better shooter ,Nick is the better iso player....Klay is the better defender but is not a world beater ,let's be honest....neither do much more than that

Not worth the 7th pick,sorry

Rather give it to Deng or Ariza?

because that's the reactionary thing we would probably do if we can't get Bron or Melo

This.

Kobe can play SF. Klay can play SF. Kobe can play SG. Klay can play SG. A wing is a wing is a wing.

Both could play with each other. Kobe just guards the best offensive wing (He does that anyways)

Hell, if we go back to the Triangle, either can play PG as well.

Plus, Klay can take over full reigns at SG when Kobe retires.

Another thing I would not write off is Nash for sanders beign a gamble move if they don't plan on paying Nash for nothing. Bucks get out a deal, la gets a defensive young big, Buss made a gamble with Rodman before so maybe jimmy would do the same. He's prob the only player we can get for Nash because of his rehab baggage

I'm not trusting this writer. When this first popped up today, It said < This would trade Kevin Love to the Wolves. And now it's been changed from the wolves ... Lmao. I won't ever trust this writer.

But I do like Klay.

Can't playmake at all, worst rebounding SG in the league, can't score inside the arc, going to demand a ton a money, why in the world would the Lakers even consider doing this? Probably the most overrated player in the NBA from a Lakers fan perspective and hat is all thanks to ESPN LA radio having o kiss up to him because they work with Mychal.
