Chandler Parsons

Post#1 » by dAdo dA dEvil » Mon Jun 30, 2014 3:07 am

The Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves have secondary interest in Chandler Parsons, according to a source.

The Lakers, Bulls and Mavericks are expected to pursue free agents such as Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James and could turn their attention toward Parsons.

I would like for this guy to be a Laker ... If Melo / LBJ won't end up with us I wouldn't mind having Parsons ...

If Melo isn't a possibility(I'm not even going to touch on Lebron) if I was the Lakers front office I'd take on Jeremy Lin, Terrence Jones and a 1st rounder in a trade, then immediately offer a contract to Parsons just to screw Houston

He's going to get over-paid by a large margin... I like his age and aspects of his game but I worry about his ability to keep it going... I think he's seeking the lime-light a little bit and he feels like one of those guys that get's distracted easy.
I'd be willing to offer him something in the mid level range, but I doubt he'd accept it.

I assume he will stay in Houston. He was the one who courted Dwight. I think this is just a ploy by the rox to create cap space then resign Parsons. I hope someone offers a ridiculous contract that the rox have to match. Houston is getting away with robbery with free agents if Melo joins Harden and Dwight. I really hope they strike out this year.

I personally would love Parsons. Not sure if I would give him the max (probably what it would take), but he would be a nice fit here.

Going to get overpaid by 1 of the many teams that miss out on Lebron & Melo. Same with Hayward.

I don't believe there is a contract offer that makes sense for the lakers that the rockets wouldn't just match

I'm not a Parsons fan. I can't stand basketball players that licks their fingers and fix their eyebrows because they care too much what they look like on TV. We haven't had a player do that since Sasha. Lakers should worry about the win, not how they look. Self absorbed. Focused on the wrong things.

I think Parsons is underrated. A 4-year $25m contract is going be an excellent investment. I can foresee the 2014/15 starting lineup as Nash-Bryant-Parsons-Randle-Monroe with Wes, Baze, Kelly, Clarkson and Marshall to round out the rotation. We can also use a veteran big man such as Emeka Okafor or Anderson Varejao too.

Parsons has been an overrated player for a while now and his lack of improvement last year over his previous years would make it dumb for any management to sign him to a lucrative contract of any kind.

or re-signed by houston, who snag one of lebron or melo

guy is a 10 mil per player (think korver) with a caphold of 1.7-3.9 mil depending on which source you use

He's also a 10M player that's about to get 13+

4/25M contract
There are teams who would offer him the double.

It appears that for restricted free agents like Bledsoe, Parsons and Hayward it would take a significant overpay for their respective teams not to match. I'm not getting my hopes up for any of those guys at a reasonable price.

Don't think you guys can afford Parsons cause Hou will match anything close to reasonable, but I think this is a better direction for LAL.

Sign Lowry for 10m, Den for 10m & Gasol for whatever. & use the full MLE to build some depth & a core of 5-6 good ppl. Then the ring hungry vets will come w/ the BAE & vet min or pp will take paycuts to stay.

Instead of grabbing Melo & going Kobe-Melo-Randle-MLE & scrubs.
