While we're currently watching summer league... I wanted to share this old video of Kobe debut with the Lakers summer league squad. There's a little Derek Fisher in there also. Its almost 8minutes but a fun watch.... Hope you enjoy fellas

That was so cool. Damn though Kobe, I didn't remember his handle being that shaky his rookie year.

The quality is fuzzy because it's before the the era of HD, but a good find. Nice.

BTW you sold me on Randle bro... Man I'm excited at that guys potential if he continues to work hard out there and develops a right hand... The skies the limit for him. He plays so physical out there also at such a young age. Defenders look scared to take that kind of punishment when he attacks the basket

Wow, he's good, i foresee this kid will be multiple NBA winners.

Is anybody else frightened by how similar Dante Exum's current summer league highlights look to this?

That kid might be the next one. I LOVED Randle at #7, he was the guy I wanted the 2nd most. Exum was the one I wanted the most (to be clear, of the guys I felt we had a shot at). He looks better than he did in Australia. That's big at this age. If he's always getting better, he's already this good, and he's got that much upside...man.

No. Exum doesn't have the athleticism to be a superstar. He can be a really good player though.

At the 7:00 min mark he hits a fade away over 5 defenders. He hasn't looked back since.

If Wiggins or Exum had a game like that now, the internet might explode. He was legitimately bullying those players as a 17 year old.

at this stage he looks like one level better than wes johnson lol
