updated ROSTER & SF options (POLL)

After the signing of Ed Davis yesterday, the Lakers have most likely taken themselves out of the MIX for Boozer & need to shift their focus to a SF as the majority of the rest of the ROSTER is filled at this point... It is obvious, the Lakers are focused on younger players with upside while maintaining future flexibility... I would also like to ASSUME that Young plays with the second unit as that is where he blossomed last year... I have the ROSTER set as follows:

PG: Lin, Nash & Marshall
SG: Kobe & Clarkeson (Young)
SF: ________ & Young
PF: Randle & Kelly (Davis)
C: Hill, Davis & Sacre

In my opinion, the focus should be on a defensive oriented athletic player that can stretch the floor, rebound, play off the ball and complement the starters... I personally think Aminu, Garcia & Xavier are the most logical candidates, my vote is for Garcia, but let the voting commence...

I HATE Evan Turners game. We need to try to get X or Wes back, I'm not interested in any of the other guys on that list.

for our starting 5? wes johnson. out of the names listed, hes the best bet for a low usage % guy that can hit the 3 and defend the opposing teams best perimeter player. X is a good guy to have off the bench, since he is so damn ball dominant when it comes to scoring. he really wouldnt fit next to kobe.

and where is this idea coming from that Aminu can stretch the floor? if he was to score, itd mostly come from the painted area, which will already be congested. hes a good rebounder and a sound defender, though. but wes fits better on this team.

Evan turner cant shoot or defend either. not sure why hes listed, and am even more perturbed that he has the most votes.

Wes, X, or Aminu. Highly doubt Lakers sign any veterans like Marion. Looking at the trend of our signings from the past season and this offseason, Lakers are looking for young guys on the cheap with upside

I think X is coming back for the minimum and I think he's perfect for the bench. So to me it's between Aminu and Wes. I like Aminu's potential a lot, but his 3 point shooting does make me wonder if he's best suited for the starting lineup or not....

Regardless, unless Nash has a resurgence and can play a Ray Allen type role, I don't see how we're not going to have spacing problems next year. No real shooters, except Young at 38.6%.

Looks like the Lakers made a partial claim on BOOZER per WOJ.

Where is info on Boozer claim... It wouldn't surprise me as Kobe likes Boozer but I thought it was out of the question after picking up Davis... Link?

Anyone but Turner. Putting him on the same team as Kobe means he turns into a jump shooter...meaning a lot of clanks.

Lin/Marshall/Nash
Kobe/Young/Clarkson
????
Boozer/Randle/Kelly
Hill/Davis/Sacre

Will Marion consider us for the room exception?

I have a feeling we are all in for a surprise. Seeing his footspeed and quickness, maybe Randle starts at the 3 and swag backs up him and kobe. Randle then slides to the 4 to back up boozer.

Lin nash marshall
Kobe swag clarkson
Randle swag kelly
Boozer randle kelly
Hill davis sacre

Isnt randle really like 6'8?

We need Henry and Marion and I'd say that's an offseason.
