Officially welcome Carlos Boozer

Welcome to the purp n gold Boozer. Looks very professional and focused on producing this season. I really think this addition is going underrated and overrlooked. I expect a good locker room presence, vet leadership for Randle and also great production from Boozer while he's on the court. For $3mill a great get by Mitch and Jim. A 2nd unit big rotation of Boozer and Davis should be solid

2nd unit my ass...Boozer will start, not but's, if's or anything else so you guys envisioning on the bench should just stop

We had a solid rotation with Randle/Kelly at PF and Hill/Davis at C ..with Sacre there as an insurance
Now Kelly will not play at all and Randle's mins will dip...while not adding a real difference maker who can contribute realistically to a greater number of wins

Dumb move...

i think kelly will play more center seeing as he is 7 feet tall and might steal time from ed davis instead depending on whether teams have a spread center or bulkier center

Boozer is getting a prime opportunity with one of the NBA's more storied franchises to unsully his name around the league. i think hes up to it and will be a pleasant surprise this year. his brute strength is there on D, its just everything else that is required for a defender is lacking. nevertheless, i think he puts in the effort this season.

With the Byron Scott stuff coming out today, I think we'll probably go with a defensive center moreso than one who spreads the floor. But we shall see. I'm hoping we can get all these bigs enough minutes, but the injury bug will see to that.

If you're going to loose a guy like Pau, getting Boozer back isn't the worst way to go. He's clearly got more left in the tank, and he's almost as good a team mate.
I'm looking forward to seeing what our front court can do.

I've always been tough on Boozer since his days in Utah...looking back at what he and Deron were able to do together makes you realize they had something special with Sloan....

Anyhow, used to loathe the dude, but now he's a Laker. I liked his presser, we could definitely use an old pro, if even for a year to season some of these young guys. Someone needs to teach him who Jordan Hill is, but he'll find out soon enough.

Go Lakers, yo.

Didn't like the signing at all, hope he doesn't hinder Randle's development. Hope he does well and plays some defense though.

I'm for starting Randle but if he doesnt start I'm ok with it. He's gonna learn either way from having guys like Boozer, Kobe and Nash on the roster
