Would you guys consider moving Kobe to create more cap space

Would you guys consider moving Kobe to create more cap space ?

For example...

If the knicks offered the expiring contracts of Amare, Shump, Dalembert & Outlaw for Kobe & Hill

Kobe is owed roughly $45 million & Hill $18 million

This would give your team a completely fresh slate in 2015. Maybe put together a team of Rondo & M.Gasol ?

Im not here to troll...just asking for a honest opinion.

Create unneeded cap space, to lose tv ratings and ticket sales, while sending Kobe to the Knicks to watch his career burn in Gotham, USA? Nah.

AMare + Shump for Kobe and you got yourself a deal. I wouldn't touch Bargs' contract for Hill's contract which is already an expiring when we offered Hill that contract to retain his bird rights.

If it ever came down to trading Kobe, you'd bet we'd get a better haul than Amare/Shump, not to mention other teams can easily beat that solely for the money they'd make on the business side of the franchise.

How do you sell to the majority of your fan base that you just traded the likely sole reason they attend games, for two garbage Knicks players? PR nightmare.

Its a PR nightmare for sure a season, but what if Kobe comes back and plays like post-Achilles Isiah instead of post-Achilles Nique? Then you have trouble selling tickets for 2 straight years.

Lin/Clarkson
Shumpert/Swaggy P
Johnson/X
Randle/Boozer
Hill/Kelly/Davis

is a pretty exciting line up. With some good coaching, we might even make the playoffs with a couple of lucky breaks.

IMO you don't trade Kobe for cap space unless you KNOW for sure you are getting a committment from a young superstar through free agency. Otherwise if we strike out again, what was the point of trading Kobe? You lose a ton of money, and your team is worse.

There's never a promise from anyone, jerry west didn't know he'd get Shaq when he made trades for divac. You juts need to build a lineup that's good and promising for a superstar to think he'd like to come here and win.

The answer is simply NO. Theres nothing to explain. Trading Kobe Bean Bryant is not an option.

I'd trade him... But it'd have to be for some combination of young talent and cap flexibility. Not Amare and Shumpert.

It would be a horrible move to trade Kobe when the primary piece coming back is Amare... It'd be better to trade him for like Exume picks and Cap Space... So that the biggest name coming back is a future piece.

All in all, nobody is going to offer us something that makes us better for the future and space for Kobe, so there's probably not a trade out there for Kobe.

sure but not for NYK trash....and NYK would be pretty retarted to think an old Kobe with Melo is gona be a "contender" with no C no PF and terrible supporting cast when you have super teams like Chi/Clev and then there's Mia/Tor/Wiz would probably better than that Knick too.

:o No. Kobe is still a top 20 player in this league. And I am being modest here. For Amare and Shump????? Nah, unlike Kobe, I'll pass!

I don't see it happening... I just wished Kobe took a TD, KG or Dirk deal so we could have signed Deng, Ariza or another impact player... His contract HURTS... $23.5 this year & $25 next year... I am hoping for an older MJ (more jump shots) this season with intensity...
