Random thought... but I miss the Hawaii preseason days. However, go Lakers!

Good that we have 4 games in 5 days at the beginning. Get that inevitable Nash injury out of the way while it's still early in the season.

I'd say that's about the one record you can say won't happen. Other than 0-16, the odds we are THAT bad are pretty slim, Slava. Buck up.

IMO, the Rockets, Memphis, T-Wolves will take a step back, and the Suns don't really scare me. I love Dragic, but if Kobe's healthy, I still like our squad to pound them.

I think OKC is either going to have another stellar year, or hit a wall. With Durant pulling out of team USA, I wonder if he'll be able to keep carrying that team with the way it's constructed, especially with the minutes he's logging.

Dallas's roster is pretty weak at PG and Center, IMO. Looking at their depth chart I hate that group. If Dirk doesn't have another great year, I can see that imploding as well. We'll also see just how good Parsons is, but it looks like they're relying on him to be a great 2nd/3rd player...we shall see.

Portland has improved, with Blake and Kaman, so we'll see if they can take the next leap, but they won't be surprising anyone this year.

Denver-- I like the pickup of AA, but will he and Gallinari be enough? I think McGee at center is trash. And do they really have any top tier talent?

Golden State is too reliant on fragile talent in Bogut and Curry. A new coach, which was initially an unpopular move with the team and I think they have some question marks before we start filling those games in as losses.

We'll see, but I think if we can manage to stay healthy and play as a team, we can compete on a nightly basis. I like Hill getting minutes. Lin should be a huge upgrade. Kobe too. Randle is a huge X factor. Xavier, Young, Johnson will bring nice continuity.

Damn, that's a pretty tough schedule to start the season. Really unfortunate as I was hoping we'd start with some easier opponents while we build chemistry.

Getting off to a bad start might kill our playoff chances.

a tough start, but not impossible imo. We can win and lose some of those games depending on how fast we click as a group.

I think we'll get off to a pretty slow start anyways and gain steam around games 15-20, so I think it's okay to have some tough ones early.

vs Rockets -- W
@ Phoenix -- L
vs Clippers -- L
@ Golden State -- L
vs Phoenix -- W
vs Charlotte -- W
@ Memphis -- W
@ New Orleans -- L
vs San Antonio -- L
vs Golden State -- W
@ Atlanta -- W
@ Houston -- L
@ Dallas -- L
vs Denver -- W
vs Memphis -- W

That's how I see our first 15 shaking out. 8-7.
