Kobe Bryant visiting doctor in Germany

He's visiting with Bayern doc Hans Müller Wohlfahrt because of negative health effects on his broken tibial plateau. Didn't see any US papers reporting this so far.

Good find, here's the translation.

A new star for the Bayern basketball ?

The guests in the restaurant " Alter Hof " whispered on Tuesday evening at any rate over a two-meter man walking past them to the bathroom and then left the bar again ...
But who knew him , which should have become clear that this giant is too big for the German Basketball Champion . His name : Kobe Bryant ( 36 ) , super star of the Los Angeles Lakers - and with more than 30 million dollars per year, a revenue - giant of world sport .

But what makes Bryant on a Tuesday evening in Munich ?

The solution: Bryant is the treatment of Doc Hans - Wilhelm Müller -Wohlfahrt , whose practice at the Alter Hof is located opposite the restaurant . He is the doctor , not only the stars of FC Bayern and other football clubs, but also mega - sporting greats trust - such as 100 -meter world record holder Usain Bolt now or Bryant .

The Shooting Guard of the United States is still suffering from the consequences of a collapse of the tibial condyle in his left knee

NYAAAAA!!!!! lol Ya'll trying to give a brother sleepless nights! :P

Two conflicting reports. One states that Kobe is still "suffering" from last season's knee injury. The other states that Kobe's visit is merely "routine".

Only thing I can say is, I hope it's merely a routine visit, and not something more serious. With X's status in question, we can't lose any more back court depth. Especially Kobe.

Will definitely be keeping my eyes open going forward. Hoping it's just the usual NBA off-season ramped up speculation.

You guys are in good hands with Müller Wohlfahrt. Other teams send their own players to him occasionally. I believe even Bayerns rival clubs have sent their players to him. For those who follow soccer/football, you'd know Arjen Robben who was as injury prone as they get, has been pretty injury free at Bayern, his last major injury being a flesh wound. And I mean, he looks pretty fit for a 72 year old and you know he uses his best magic potion on himself hah

It's either the routine "spinning" he does or the knee is screwed... Hate to be negative but I ruptured my achillis playing hoops 4 years ago and although my achillis is strong (lacks motion) the rest of my body is breaking down from over compensating... I know I am not anywhere near the same level or have the same support but it is a reality with allot of people that go through the injury... On a positive note, the repaired achillis is strong (thick)...

I believe this is a different doctor than the one he usually goes to

I want Kobe to have a great farewell. I cringe every time I think about that injury bug or doc visits.

Viva la Kobe's career.

He must have switched doctors. His other German doctor was located in Leverkusen, which isn't close to Munich where Wohlfahrt is at.

I wish sometimes Kobe had called it a career. Never want him to be one of those players that stayed around to long. Its to late for him to quite now. Just think of Magic and MJ in those last few years. Nothing like they were once, but the money keep them around a few years to long.

MJ or Magics twilight years have so far been nothing like Kobe's.

He was at great heights when he went down with the achilles, so there's absolutely no reason he should have stepped aside after that.

Last year was rotten luck again. We'll see who he is when he returns, but as far as your post, way off-base IMO.

I wish & hope for the best but injuries lead to other injuries... Nobody works harder but like the Great Sir Charles once said... "Father time ain't lost a battle yet"...

Kobe is as pre-emptive as they come. Chances are he is 100% and he is exploring ways to remain at 100% at prevent a repeat of last years breakdown.
Don't be a jerk.

Kobe could you call Rashad Lewis. He could sure use some help with his knee. I think he would be a nice addition to the team.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
