Nash & Kobe would automatically be the best backcourt in history. Other than that Boozer was good for a couple seasons in his prime but that team would need a solid big man. Reminds me of the Dirk - Nash Mavs teams.

Add Randle in his prime that'd be scary. Otherwise, Ed Davis could be the rim protector. Add Lin and you've got a pretty good starting 5, even tho a bit undersized. Or else start a 3&D guy like Johnson and have Lin (and Young?) be the 6th man that'd be pretty awesome too.

yes they would be a contender. Just add a couple defensive players to round out the roster.

We had Derek Fisher, Kobe, Pau Gasol, and Bynum contending and winning.

Replace Fisher with Prime Nash and Gasol with Prime Boozer and its not even a question anymore.

Definitely a contender, should win it all as well. Key word is PRIME, i can't think of any reason why a team consist of two MVP and an All Star can't win the championship.

This is not even a question.

As of now I am optimistic that we are a playoff team ... Nash and Kobe on their prime ... we'll be champions ...

i hope that's not a dig at Pau, because Prime Pau is a far better player than Prime Boozer.

Pau pre Kobe had only played one all star game and was 0-12 in the playoffs (0-16 total) and was a lotto candidate for a couple years too.

Boozer had accomplished more than Pau up Till that point, had helped his team reach the WCF. Amare, Dirk, Tim, KG, JO, the list goes on for PFs better than Pau back then. Kobe, Phil, and everything in la made Pau what he was in comparison to his peers, not anything Pau had done before in the league on his own,

Boozer wins rings here, Amare, JO, KG, and so on with Kobe to draw defenses and get him single covered and not having to score late in games

It really is sad when the Pau hate forces this sort of irrational thinking. Boozer has never been better than Pau since he's entered the league.

Boozer led the Utah jazz to the WCF. Pau never did anything close to that without Kobe holding his hand. In fact Paus never won a fn playoff game without Kobe

Simply put, the question was about contending for the ring. I didn't mention anything about Pau being better or worse than Boozer.

Put both prime Nash and Boozer in a team with Kobe, Odom, Bynum, the Lakers have a shot at the ring. End of story. Don't make it more than it already is. If you still want to fight, let's go!

Nash never plays well with another ball dominant. Boozer is okay but with lesser defense. I rather have Kobe, Boozer and a 3D guy in the lineup.

Nash would just have to be the Dallas Nash that was with Van Exel and Finley

If there's one silver lining it's that Boozer right now is closer to what he was in his prime than Pau is. I still think Boozer is a pretty effective player, he didn't exactly let David Lee or Faried go off on defense.

2 rings at least. tho nash have always been overrated in my eyes. he was underrated during his mavs years but became 2 time mvp overrated during his suns years.
