Kobe Bryant is the perfect teammate

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/trian ... -teammate/That dichotomy is probably the closest thing you’ll find to truth in the never-ending argument over his legacy. The criticism and the praise are both pretty much true. He’s been every bit as unbearable as his critics say, and he’s been every bit as incredible as the believers promise. He would be miserable to play with, but he also brought the best out of Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, and Ron Artest. He’s one of the most contrived celebrities we’ve ever seen, but he also keeps it realer than just about anyone in the NBA. Maybe he really is part of the problem for the Lakers, but he’s also been the solution since Bill Clinton was president. His myth has been inflated more than any superstar in the league, but he’s also lived up to it more times than anyone can count. This discussion could go on forever, and it probably will.
The NBA isn’t science, it’s literature. And we’re reading the final chapter of one of the greatest characters ever. Believe whatever you want. But don’t pretend this hasn’t been worth the investment.
That's my Mamba..

Place that guy (minus the glass knees and attitude) into the roster and we are instantly a playoff team. lol.

You would probably be a loser if you didn't think Kobe was the perfect teammate

As long as you put in the hours Kobe is the perfect teammate. He bonds w/ scrubs a lot more than talented players that smoke trees and dont want to put in the work. It seems pretty easy to understand, but lots of millionaire ballplayers in their 20s dont get him. The ones that dont get him are too into be ballers of the court and not maximizing their earning potential or legacy.
I absolutely believe you put Kobes heart and mind in Shaqs body that the hybrid would have scored 110 points in a game and have 12 championships. But I love Mamba just the way he is. He is real.

The part with the Training Day speech cracks me up. I can envision Kobe reciting that verbatim.

Maybe that's one reason they didn't sign Beasley? Lin would do fine it seems.

Maybe Beasley simply stunk it up in workouts? I mean what's the other 29 teams's excuse if he's so great?
The dude is a aging chucker with problems being a pro.

I was so pro Beasley in August. I just want to see talented youngsters learn from the great wizard of Mamba.
