I know he participated in some workouts early on in the preseason, before the Chinese league season began, but that was still with the understanding that he would honor his contract and go to China (there wasn't really a spot for him on any NBA team at the time). The workout was just for the Lakers to get a sense of him, to know whether they want to bring him aboard when the season is over in China and he becomes available again. Or at least that's my understanding.

The tweet uses the past tense, so I'm not sure if it's any new info. Or is there confirmation that the Lakers are currently working him out?

I may be misreading it, especially given the terseness of tweets. But perhaps the tweet meant that that the Lakers had worked him out in the past (it does use the past tense "worked") and that the tweeter would like the move if they made an offer for him (not realizing that he has already reported to the team in China, perhaps?).

I don't think they're actually working him out right now, since I'm not even sure he's still in the U.S. I believe he signed the Chinese contract with the understanding that he could nullify it if he found an NBA spot during early pre-season, before the season in China began. He didn't, so he went to report to China. Or is he still in the States?

Panda Friend is playing in China, so I'm assuming Toney Douglas is, too, if the season over there has begun already.

I like this move. He had very good chemistry with Jeremy Lin. He knows how to find the spot to catch those wild passes from Lin.

one thing for sure is I can't wait for Young, Kelly and X to come back < if those 3 can stay healthy all season our team is going to be much better:) laugh all you want, i'll prove you wrong:)

I'd rather just give minutes to Clarkson. It'll be ugly, but year 1 is ugly for most players.

Agree Douglas has been nothing more than fodder on the teams he's played for. At least Bynum has played meaningful minutes and could actually be an asset in the mode of a Nate Robinson but with better control.

I like Douglas. Streaky shooter, can play some defense...with Nash out we should take him.
