In the final minutes of our games

Post#1 » by SlimShady83 » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:36 am

Let's say we are coming down to the last couple minutes of the game and we are down by no more then 6 or so points with a healthy team and everyone playing on the roster who would you have in the line up to help win the game.

For me

C: Hill
PF: Kelly < 3pt
SF: Kobe
SG: Young
PG: Lin

Ok so same as above but this time we are ahead by a couple points and need to maintain the lead to win the game who would you choose?

C: Davis
PF: Randle
SF: Wes Edit: I know he is a risk here, but who else do we have? Maybe X?
SG: Kobe
PG: Price <<< I just love this guys hustle on D

Your turn.
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Duncan, Shaq

My Counter
Stockton, Kobe, Bird, Rodman, Dirk

Today's Team

Not sure I agree Price's hustle D is more effective than Lin's. Also, I'm starting to like Davis over Hill even on the O side...

Lin (Never afraid of the big moment and can knock down a big shot for ya)
Kobe (No explanation needed)
Swaggy P (If Kobe is doubled on the post, Swaggy P will be there to drain a 3)
Randle (Hustle and rebounding)
Davis (Shot blocker that can instill some intimidation into the other teams players that like to attack the rim)

I chose Hill mostly for the O reb and 2nd chance points :)

In a down scenario I like this unit....

Davis, Booz, Kobe,Swag and Lin, we can't be afraid to have Booz on the floor if were down. He's a vet and can garner vet calls down the stretch that Kelly nor Randle or Hill will not get.

In protecting a lead I like....

Davis, Hill ( or Randle ), Johnson, Kobe and Lin. This unit really depends on how many minutes is left, if it's over 4-5 then this is not the unit to go with. If under 3 then we can roll with it. Also we're gonna have to see Julius in the clutch at some point, this is the only way you learn as a player.

i couldn't bear to see kobe and swaggy on the floor together. this unit would probably be the best combination of floor spacing, rebounds, 3's, and blocks.

Kobe
Kelly
Hill
