Big game here. Were the last two flukes? Or, did Swaggy's return help right the ship?

I think this game is the game we need to give us the super confidence going forward... Dallas has been blowing every team out in there arena.

An old Nelson shouldn't be too difficult for Lin, a big game from him coming up? Reunion with Parsons. So Wes's gonna guard Monta? It'd be interesting if he's as effective as against Harden.
MorbidHEAT wrote:My dislike for Lin started during Linsanity. It was absurd. It's probably irrational dislike at this point, but man he gets on my nerves. He's been tearing us up though.

Our three wins so far: Charlotte (sub .500), Atlanta (.500) and Houston (depleted). There is no sliver lining. We don't have talent on this team to win. This is a scheduled loss my friends.

Im assuming based on your location that you live in DFW? If so I guess I can understand hating us if you root for the Lakers. Otherwise I'm surprised to see this. Mavs just aren't significant enough as a franchise to inspire much hate and other than the 2011 2nd round, the Lakers have absolutely owned Dallas since we got a franchise so no real reason to hate us or our fans.

Now obviously Mavs fans tend to hate the Lakers, and I certainly do. Nothing against their fans tho really. I'm amused by the LA thing of arriving late and going to the games to be seen more than anything, but other than the Cowboys Dallas is a notorious winner's town where the cocaine and boobjob crowd migrate to whichever team is hot at the moment so I can't really be too hard on that.

Tho to Cuban's credit he's done a good job of building a more loyal fanbase for the Mavs. Be a true test to see if he can maintain once Dirk is done and we have to rebuild again.

As far as this game goes, Dallas just needs to take care of business, build their usual big first half lead and just keep our foot on the gas. We need to rack up wins now because the West is brutal as ever and you can't lose home games to bad teams. Plus we know you guys don't stay down long so we need to get our licks in now.

Beat LA Beat LA Beat LA :D

Any players I should keep my eyes on tonight for you guys or is it all just the Kobe show?

No one we wanted to see is going to get significant PT. Clarkson will get a DNP-CD, Kelly, Randle are injured. Ed Davis is likely the one to look for and Jordan Hill's improvement will probably be surprising to a lot of people.

Ed Davis signed for the minimum or close to it, right? Very similar to us picking up Aminu for the minimum. Seems like with some of the contracts that got thrown around that somebody would have paid them.

Im curious about the structure of Hill's contract. You guys can't really trade him without his permission, correct? Seems like a nice guy to flip for an asset if you could, but unless Im mistaken, he can veto a deal.

Sucked about Randle for sure. I'm assuming the hope is to be bad enough to keep your pick this year or do you guys just want to go ahead and clear that obligation and get it over with?
