Well last year getting Randle with No.7 isn't bad at all, as opposed to this year, no pick would be disastrous.

I imagine his buddy Byron is thinking the same thing, he knows what he's doing.

The timing of Magic saying this about his buddy's team, the fact that didn't use the hardship extension even just to cut whoever, that X is still on the team, that Earl Clark's on the verge to sign in China, the lineup changes, the rumor about not being active at the trade deadline, the way Kobe has been on board...IMO, tells me the writing is either so on the wall nobody needs to say a damn word, or that they finally accepted that this just isn't in the cards and decided to just pack it in for the season....

There was a point last year when MDA was clearly under directive to develop the youngins...wonder when Clarkson will nab those backup minutes?

Well if this was the year to play like trash to lose then this was the year. This draft is too damn loaded with bigs and athletic winger like Johnson and Winslow, I want something from this draft badly.

We're not tanking... We suck. But I guess if we choose not to make any moves to make us better, that'd be tanking.

At least if it's going to be this kind of year, there's Kobe record chasing to watch in the meantime.

i'd rather go after gasol at center, but i'd draft for talent and worry about team composition later

To which I can only say, what took them so long? Having to go through a isht season without a top draft pick to show for it would be an abject disaster.

This organization is wayyyyy too stubborn to actually tank. Because of this we will likely win just enough games to lose the pick.

We are in "No Mans Land" with the 7th worst record... We need to have one of the 3 worst records to be guaranteed a Top 5 Pick... Randle going down killed us... Randle & Clarkson should be playing major minutes to develop & tank... Figure it out...

If we lose that pick to the Suns it will definitely be the stinger in the arse for the bad trade we made for Nash. But imagine if we get the top 3 or even the 1st overall pick. Paybacks a btch!!

On the bright side, at least we're not like the Nets and Knicks.
