Byron on Kobe: "His workload was too much...He had a number & my number was higher. His number was right when I look back at it."

Byron Scott's referring to the number of minutes per game conversation he had w/ Kobe (where the # Kobe gave him was less than Byron's #)

Scott:"I cut those numbers down (past few games) & ever since [KB's] efficiency has been so much better as far as the way he's been playing"

Byron: "We (him & Kobe) both got a real good feel now & we just have to go from this point on. He has proven he has a lot left in the tank."

Byron Scott: "Watching him in workouts...I think I got a little too confident, thinking he could handle those type of minutes."

Scott on the minutes he played Kobe in beg. of season: "I was wrong. His minute number was totally better than what I thought."

"I'm trying to make up for all the minutes I played him early and give him a little more rest." - Byron Scott

Ireland had reported the same thing during camp, Kobe wanted a number close to 30 to ease his way back into basketball.

Byron **** up trying to save his own ass so he didn't get the Dantoni or brown deal, he deserved early on had he not been a former laker

Good post compiling all of those quotes. Now please go and copy and paste it in the other Kobe thread.

We don't need multiple active threads on the same Kobe situation. If you like, I'll rename that other thread to better describe the developing story here.
