reason why clippers will never make it in LA

A father hires his own son. And only the father sees value in his son, when no one else can. That type of leadership of "dad trying to save sons career". Is the reason the clippers will fail, and this will NEVER be a clipper town. Totally inept. Lose a veteran in Jordan Farmar, reggie bullock, give up picks for a guy that only a "Father" sees as good. And please, don't hang a divisional banner up in our building.

Is that move really that big of a deal? He's like Jamal Crawford-lite.

Well, I would go for that comparison, if he has shown jamal Crawford like skillset. Up to this point, dude is like one of those guys at the park and rec. jackin up shots, never lookin to pass, and blames others for the loss.

The best part is Docs gone public trying to say that others in the organization wanted Austin Rivers too.
Yeah okay.. I love watching this poopstain of a franchise implode from within.
Bullock has a future as a 3 and D player in this league as a starter.

Byron Scott hired his son.
And Jimmy Buss runs the Lakers.

Why're we concerned about the Clippers? We need to focus on what we need to do to get back into contention next season. Getting the #1 pick in this draft would do wonders

Ryan West (Jerry West's son) and Jesse Buss are head of the Lakers scouting department as well. Ryan is being groomed to be the next GM. I'm pretty sure there are other sons of showtime players in important position within the Lakers.

jordan farmar was terrible for the clippers system. Defensively didn't do anything at all.

so K-Earth 101 was giving away Clipper tickets to the first caller the other day. some guy won the tickets, but when he realized that they were Clipper tickets he politely refused them and ended the call with "go Lakers".

I remember this one time a seller of ticket packages came around my work back when i was working in downtown LA selling me Clippers tickets. He told me no one wanted to buy them and would always ask him for Lakers tickets.

The trade for the younger Rivers was totally meaningless IMO from a basketball standpoint.
It won't make or break the Clips, this season or in the future.
They have a solid team but have a window, just like any other team.

Something about the Clippers feels exceptionally cheap and second-rate compared to the Lakers. When you go to Clipper games the Staples Center feels completely different from Laker games, almost like they're trying much harder to keep the fans' attention.
One huge difference is the music played. The Clippers have a DJ setup and play pop songs, whereas the Lakers use their band section for most of the game and only play a handful of current music if any. It makes for a higher quality experience, I can't quite put it into words.

Clippers should move to the Pond. Make there own fans and start all over as a team not living in the shadow of the Lakers. Little brother needs to grow and become there own franchise on its own. Yes they are a better team. But LA will always be a Laker town and 16 banners backs that up.

The clippers have definitely made up some grown, however minuscule it is.
Few years ago you'd never see lakers fans going out their way to make sure people knew LA would never be a clippers town. Some fans definitely feel threatened.

the clips will never be as big as the lakers...that's a given.
but considering they've been in town for over 30 years, now have a pretty decent owner, and built a loyal (though small) fanbase, i think it's safe to say they've made it in l.a.

Cp3 and Blake need to really think about their futures if the clippers fail big time this year.

yeah but that's on response to the realgm gb what have you done for me lately out of towners who are puzzled by the loyalty to the P&G instead of the team that is relevant at this particular moment.
