Now that the CBA is over, Beasley is back in the U.S. looking for an NBA deal. The Lakers have worked him out before.

What is everyone's opinions on bringing him in? The guy is immensely talented but the big issue with him has been maturity problems. These problems are mitigated by the short term low risk deal.

Worked him out 2 times and didn't sign him ? Equals red flag for me, something went on in those workouts that didn't blow the doors off for Mitch and Jim. And Beasley is no different than Swag, all he does is score...what we need is complete ball players.

At this point in time, I'm not sure Beasley would help or hurt our tank lol

Rather be trading players the next few days for picks than to sign players.

i disagree with you Deep. I wouldn't mind another scorer on our team. Complete players are hard to come by.

Having a 3rd scoring guy would take the load off Kobe and Swaggy. Teams keep on trying to double both kobe/swaggy while one of them sits on the bench. Having a 3rd go to guy would be awesome, not saying Beasley is the guy, but maybe jennings? or other's

Out of all the players out there, who do you want or would consider to be a complete player would be? that we have a chance of actually getting via trade/FA?

but what about the other teams in the league? they seem to think like most of us, talent can only get you so far, Beasley just doesn't seem like has the drive to do anything good in this league.

We've worked him out quite a few times and didn't sign him, as Deep said. Now, apparently he had a good workout with us. There's no use bringing him in for another workout, we know what he is at this point.

NBA rejects should be dominating in China and stay there.

I think there might be a reason why every other NBA team has passed on him. If he had something to give i would think he'd be picked up by now.

I disagree. Watching him last season in Miami, he does more than just score. He has the talent to do whatever you ask of him. Even his defense was better his second time around with Miami. If anything, his issue during this incarnation was that he tried to pass too much. He is definitely not like Young in that sense. Young doesn't know what passing is; Beasley, on the other hand, remains a lottery talent even with everything that's gone on. He would have certainly helped this team had he signed. Kobe would have taken care of him especially with his reputation.

Whats the point really? Theres no salvaging this season except to allow us to keep that pick. Us moving out of the draft woukd just be tragic.

This thread offends me right now. We have bigger things going on than Beasley... I'll reopen it again after the deadline, or if pigs shoot out of my ass... Which I'm sure will happen before we sign beasley.
