Is the point guard rotation too cluttered?

With the resurgence of Ronnie Price, 3 players who normally act as lead ball handlers must now share minutes along the perimeter, with Lin/Price getting some minutes as a wing. You can't simply take one out of the rotation either, as Lin has been playing well and Clarkson is apparently "safe". This situation would be a lot easier to deal with if the Lakers had a thin wing rotation, but Weezy, Wesley and Swaggy all need their minutes.
There are several factors at play here. For one, the Lakers want to maximize Jordan Clarkson's exposure to ensure that he can get plenty of reps to demonstrate what he learned from Nash. As Byron has stated though, the team also needs to consider who to keep next season, so some minutes must be distributed to everyone.
Do you feel as if the rotation is too cluttered? If so, how would you remedy the situation?

if lin can play 82 games like he did against the celtics, i dont mind resigning him next season as our starting pg, with jclark backing him, and ronnie price as the 3rd string guy. this is a positive because we can spend our cap elsewhere. i would prefer this also, as i do like lin. though he has been quite disappointing thus far.
but, sadly, that may not be the case. and of the 3, theres a stronger chance jclark is the only pg we retain.

At this point of the season, who cares. I say go for it. Let the kid get as many mins as possible and see how he does w/ the mins.

I think Scott is managing the rotation pretty well for the past few games by letting Clarkson play through the first 3 quarters and closing out with Lin & Price on the court at the same time so that Clarkson doesn't lose much confidence when the defense tightens up.

I don't think the PG position is cluttered.
I like seeing Clarkson emerge as a solid NBA player and would like to see him get as much, if not more minutes.
But at the same time, BScott is also making sure Clarkson gets meaningful minutes.
With Lin and Price, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes they play well (last night Lin was good offensively), but they are so inconsisent. I'm kind of beginning to expect as much from 2nd and 3rd string type players like Lin and Price.

Lin should start, Clarkson should be the backup. Swaggy P and Ellington off the bench. Ronnie Price should stay glued to the bench, I don't know why he even plays.
I wish that Lin was a little more consistent, then maybe the rotation wouldn't be so cluttered.

Yes. Should've traded Lin for a 3rd round draft pick.

I would take towel considerations or another rack of balls if I was Mitch

actually Jeremy Lin plays pretty well last game. His game well suited for maximizing scrubs talent.

Yeah, I know Lin is a serviceable backup PG... But all things considered, if we were going to trim the fat, that's where I'd cut.

I like JLin but unless he shows in the last 20 or so games that he has star quality, he will be excess fat. I think we are grooming Clarkson for that backup spot And would be cheaper.

Price should never have gotten minutes anyway. BS shoulda been playing Lin/Clarkson 30+ mins each, when the POs were out of the picture, letting them share time at PG and SG on occasions (which prepares them for next year when Kobe dominates the ball as a PG and giving Lin a good long look to see if he's worth keeping). Young should be playing 24 mins max at the 2/3 since we already know what he can do and Wes should be playing more stretch 4 since playing him at the 3 most of the time leads to him disappearing alot. Hecklast year he looked the best at the 4 anyway.
Personally i wanna see more Lin/Clarkson action, where they interchange as PG/SG as muich as possible. It's the best way to prepare them for Kobe coming back when he decides he wants to play PG at times.
If Lin can put up strong efficient stats with decent defense then he should be brought back as the starting PG for 6-9 mil depending on the market, if he continues to play erratically despite consistent PT then its time to move on. Clarkson should be groomed as a combo guard regardless of Lin's situation, since Kobe has a penchant to handle the ball alot.
In a way this is a good thing, for the longest time i wanted the FO to waive Price to end BS's infatuation with him. Lin and Clarkson shoulda been playing heavy PG mins and with each other ever since Kobe went down.
This is how i'd divvy the mins, for maximum effectiveness/development.... of course they might win too many games
PG - Lin (24) Clarkson (24) one of these two should be on the court at ALL times
SG - Ellington (20-24), Lin (6-8), Clarkson (6-8), Young (8-12)
SF - Young (12-16), Wes (12-16), Kelly (20-24) i wouldnt play kelly here but BS is BS
PF- Wes (12-16), Boozer (20-24), Hill (16-20), Black
C - Davis (32-36) Hill (12-16), Black
Sacre falls off the face of the earth, and Black plays mins depending on foul trouble and whether the people in front of him play poorly or not. Defensively we'll still get murdered, but offensively it's basically D'Antoni lite, with maximum hope of developing the guards
Basically the objective is to space the floor so the wings can attack and dish. PnR, PnP for the bigs and the wings waiting for the kickouts/swing passes from the defenders scrambling to defend the point of attack. Quite frankly there's no point in playing Boozer or Hill that many mins since they're likely gone and dont really fit in what teams need to succeed in the nba (bigs who play defense). If we draft (god willing) Okafor and have Randle come back, both Hill and Boozer have no spots to play anyway, unless theyre willing to stay for the min. Everything really depends on whether we win the draft and can convince a star wing to defect or be leg go via RFA.

Goddamnit and Rose just suffered a season (prolly career) ending injury in his knee. If he had gotten hurt a week earlier coulda pried a lotto protected 1st rounder out of them for Lin (need ot throw some cash to help cover salary most likely) or Clarkson. Their PG depth is pretty much destroyed and Lin or Clarkson woulda helped them nicely, basically giving us alot of leverage, they can pay the high price or piss another season away.
A shame about his injury, but not a surprise at all.

At least Clarkson should be getting more minutes now.
