What the Lakers really need to do?
What up guys/girls I’m a little past being drunk and it’s 3am on Saturday morning, can’t sleep so figured I’d type something out and get something off my chest, so excuse any spelling and grammar it isn’t the best.
First and for-most, the Lakers need to stop trying to form a “Big 3”, the last few years of seeing the NBA I’ve seen too many teams trying to form the big 3-4 and not getting things to work out, the problem with this is, that there is usually too much ego in one team and it’s the reason why it rarely works (shaq/Malone/Kobe/Payton etc).
Unless you have the best player in the game – Lebron/Durant it’s not going to work, by the way the only reason why Miami one Chips was because Bosh was willing to take a lessor role in order to win <<< Don’t believe me take a look at Cleveland now with – Lebron/Love/Irving < Love is a little lost and doesn’t know where he stands, it takes time for a new team to get to know each other, it’s why we never won with Malone/Payton+ too much ego – Also note OKC is only one more scorer away from being a champion ship team -IMO
Ok enough about that for now.
So what do the Lakers really need in order to start winning games? [Let’s forget the fact we are tanking shall we] …
Double Teams: I’m so ‘sick n tired’ of seeing almost every single team just double teaming either Kobe or Young because we don’t have that third scorer who can get us that 15/25 points a game, this is the reason I believe Lakers have interest in Jennings.
Lakers need to sign someone like Jennings who can be that 3rd scorer and stop teams from doubling Kobe/Young ^ I’m not saying Jennings is the answer < “someone like Jennings” who can score at will and be a threat “consistently” and give Kobe/Young some breathing space + prefebly someone who isn’t a big time star, just a quite achiever
PG: Lakers need a Pass first point guard and this is another reason I feel we should go after Rondo “OR AGAIN” some one like Rondo who is a pass first PG to get the ball to our shooters and big-men that we’ll have next year.
Keep in mind we have a Coach that is a offensive minded coach and with the line up I’m about to propose to you all, you’ll find something wrong with this like Defense, injury prone, too old, $$$ too high, well keep in mind that nothing is perfect even in our championship days there were flaws to be made so get over it.
C: Hill
PF: Randle
SF: Kobe
SG: Jennings
PG: Rondo
Yes our Defense is going to suck, but keep in mind once again that we have an offensive minded coach, while I do believe Defense wins game a good strong offensive game that can average 100 + a game is tough too be no matter how good your D is.
Kobe’s Minutes. Kobe’s minutes need to monitored of course and I feel his minutes should be watched closely like this.
1st quarter 7-8 minutes
2nd quarter 4-6 minutes
3rd quarter the last 6-8 minutes < he plays his best in the 3rd I feel and of course 4th
4th quarter the last 6-7 minutes
Average of 28-30 minutes a game. We need to save him for the end of games. When he is resting, give the young guys time.
Our full line up next year???
C: Hill/Top 5 pic/Black
PF: Randle/Boozer/E.Davis
SF: Kobe/Wes/Kelly
SG: Jennings/Young/Ellington
PG: Rondo/Clarkson/Price < Yes I still want Price, but limit his minutes.
I wonder how much crap I’ll get for this? Hehe. But not bad for a drunk/tired guy huh???
