Wasn't what we hoped for, but great career nonetheless. Good luck Steve Nash

Lovely read and good luck to Steve the rest of his life. Hopefully he sticks around the Lakers organization like being mentioned by Ding and coaches us one day, he's too smart a person to stay away from basketball and if he tries coaching I'm sure he will get the ring he never got as a player.

Sucks we couldn't see the Steve Nash experience up close, but he'll go down as an all-time great point guard, and an even better teammate. Hopefully he does stick around the Lakers organization and become another ambassador for the team that treated him with class late in his career despite little on-court contributions.

Sad that a lot of people that know him just from these past few years in LA will only remember as so. Guy was a straight professional, great teammates, and such a joy to watch in prime. Really one of my favorite players ever.

Hope he sticks around as a coach. Great guy but an unfortunate ending to his career.

I'm just glad he'll be able to walk off into the sunset without the aid of anything else.... He really fell apart the moment he stepped foot on LA.

How long until he becomes a coach?
On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

I have zero fond memories of him as a fan of this team so I really don't care. Jason Kidd retirement was a tear jerker though. As I always wanted him on the Lakers for the longest time.

But alas, I had to move on. Now I want John Wall.

I remember in 2009, when I was just getting into basketball, that I wanted the Lakers to get Nash and antoni. I thought that them doing the run and gun with Kobe and Nash would be the best thing ever. I guess that sometimes you get exactly what you wish for. Nash had a great career though. So entertaining with Phoenix.

He barely played for us, and cost us draft picks. I can respect his career in an overall sense, but he was never a Laker...Oh, and please stop with the nice guy thing. Bynum was a legit prick, but he produced for us - I hold him in about 100 times the regard of Nash.

Atleast say something nice to appreciate the guy's career like everyone does.
Anyway, happy retirement steve. What a career you've had. Would be great though if he stick around and coach jclark till this season is done

i can understand the retirement but why didn't he stick around during the early part of the season? instead he shows up a couple of weeks ago. both lin and jc would've learned a lot

Congratulations on a great career.
I was excited when we got him. I thought the Nash, Kobe, D12, Pau line up was going to be awesome but that didn't work out.
But he was always a classy guy and a fierce competitor.
Best wishes.
