Lakers Roster Head to Head

PG: Clarkson vs Lin - Clarkson has shown too much for what was expected and Lin too little and he's been a disappointment. I wouldn't mind Lin backing him up, but I wouldn't mind letting him go either. I would even go as far as to say... Clarkson could be our starting PG next year. Both have similar styles, but Clarkson seems to know what he's doing most times and makes better decisions, and really has more promise.

SG: (Kobe) Ellington vs. Brown - both used to be spot up shooters but seems to have elevated their games by becoming more of an all-around type players. im please by both of them to be honest, but they are too similar to keep both... i'd give the nod to Brown for being younger and may have more potential... plus chemistry with JClark.

SF: im tired of wes and young. we need to replace these 2 asap.

PF: (Randle) Hill vs. Boozer vs. Kelly - I like our options at this spot... but if I were to choose, i'd give Hill the starting job until Randle is ready to take it.

C: Davis vs. Black - I personally like them both, but at the same time, I'm not confident enough in them, mainly because they are undersized. I wouldn't mind either of them as our back up or replace Sacre for the 3rd string C.

Just my thought all season long... I hope we sign an SF or C through draft or free agency. I'm already excited for next year. haha!

Interesting way to look at things as far as head-to-head. I actually like a lot of guys on this team in a coming off the bench/filling out roster role. Guys like Ellington (backup to Kobe), Brown (14th or 15th guy on roster), Boozer (veteran presence), Ed Davis, Black.

We just need upgrade spots 1-6. Kobe and Randle are a good start, hopefully Clarkson continues developing and emerges and then find another one in free agency, one in the draft, and a secondary free agent signing (just maybe not as big as first one).
