C - Jahlil Okafor 20 y/o
PF - Julius Randle 21 y/o
SF - Draymond Green 25 y/o
PG - Jordan Clarkson 23 y/o

That is a nice young core to build around and try to convince Kevin Durant to sign with the Lakers in 2016.

Would love to have more defensive minded players with a shot on the time.

not offensively but his D and ability to guard 1-5 will still be of use to us.....he's a great glue guy, I think even better than what Odom was for us.

i'd love draymond green on the lakers....easily becoming one of my favorite players to watch for a few reasons-

1. his competitive nature is very underrated
2. he has a great sense of humor, but he knows when to shutup and play
3. he is STRONG...watch him D up dwight....he doesn't give up space on D and dwight can't even move him on the block.
4. he can shoot.

to be fair though, Dwight isn't exactly king of the low block lol I see your point though. Green is real solid, just don't know how I feel about giving him the kind of money it would take for GSW not to match ( I still think GSW just dumps Lee and even Iggy too to keep both Green and Barnes) I don't know how Green would be with more attention on him unlike in GSW, I don't know if he could help but then again with our #2 pick and two young prospects in Clarkson and Randle, depending on they develop over the next 2 years maybe we don't need any offense from Green.

Very interesting indeed

With the rising cap/luxury tax, there is zero reason for these teams not to match a max offer for these players. On a similar note, there is zero reason for these players to accept an offer from a team other than their own since they'll have to settle for a smaller deal.

I mean we can offer it but I'm 99.9% positive the Warriors will match whatever offer he gets.

What's with the obsession for PF/SF tweeners? He's a good player, same with guys like Harris and such, but I dunno.

Max for Green? No thank you, that's too much "green" for him. Plus he's a player suited for the Warriors system not necessarily the Lakers.

I'd rather try and snag Jimmy Butler for the max. Butler>Green...

If the Lakers manage to sign Green, I'd consider trading Randle.

Maxing Green is the type of move that looks good if we sign a superstar free agent and one of our young guys develop into an allstar, but a horrible move if he's expected to be a 1st or 2nd option

That's fine. Except, I wouldn't want to sign Green to begin with.
