West going in on Phil

..."In an interview on Sunday, West, who wasn't on good terms with Jackson when both men worked for the Los Angeles Lakers, took a few thinly-veiled shots at the Zen Master. West questioned the trades Jackson has made with the Knicks and wondered about his ability to succeed in a front office role.
“It’s a little easier for (Heat president and former Knicks and Lakers coach Pat Riley)," West said in an interview on Sirius XM Bleacher Report Radio’s “NBA Sunday Tip” co-hosted by Howard Beck and Ethan Skolnick.
“He’s had a lot more experience on both sides in coaching and now in the front office. With Phil, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens back there. They didn’t have the kind of year I’m sure they wanted to have. Everyone in the league feels like they made two trades that helped Cleveland tremendously and one that helped Dallas this year."...

Wonder what the internal conversations were in Oakland after Phil came out with his tweets after GS went down 1-2 against Memphis.

Atleast I'm glad no one from our management is part of this mud slinging no matter how badly they've been provoked in the media.

Well west is right. Phil basically gave the Cavs a jolt of life with those trades. They helped turn the Cavs season around along with mozgov(hope I spelled that right). Plus unless he makes a big splash this summer in new york what has he done?

Making obvious observations is not 'going in on Phil'. This a non issue for me

It's a non-issue for us, but I think you're crazy if you think this isn't an issue for Phil and West.
This is 'going in' for West... This is how he always does it... A thinly-veiled innuendo to the press is pretty much his thing... Phil was pretty overt.

Love it. Anyone can see Phil is in way over his head.

I would love to go back on these threads and see just how many people wanted Phil Jackson. It was nearly everyone, I was one of handful of exceptions. While he has a clear mind on players which fit his system, he's very irrational about getting to those ways and doing so.
If it was Phil's decision, Kobe would have been gone in 2004 and we would have been building around a 33 year old Shaquille O'Neal and Shawn Marion. How many Championships would we have won then?
I believe it took Jim Buss' persuasion to draft Andrew Bynum when Phil wanted Shawn May or Danny Granger. How have those decisions turned out? Bynum was an integral part of two Championship runs and probably the main reason why Kobe decided to back off in 2007. Danny Granger had a good start but was completely irrelevant after. Shawn May, out of the league quickly.
There were people that wanted him over Mitch Kupchak. Mitch is a proven basketball mind. I would never trade him for Phil Jackson even if the Knicks offered me their next 10 1st round picks.

Phil's mission was worst record in the league. He didn't care about JR, Shump or Amare. Capspace!

Nah I think the knicks were trying to make the playoffs. Once he seen things going south he panicked

JR and Shump were trash garbage on the knicks that needed to go, i don't understand the vitriol for Phil here, he's had 1 season to do anything. Not enough time to show whether or not he's incompetent at his job.
