LaMarcus Aldridge is going to be 30 next year. If we sign him do you guys think he can give us 5 good years?

I love Lamarcus Aldridge, but he's not the guy we're looking for at his current age.

Under the radar free agent signing to me would be Kosta Koufos if we miss out on Aldridge, Jordan, Gasol, Love, Lopez. Hes only 26 and has always been a little underrated to me. Signing someone like him could give the Lakers a little extra money to go after a 3 like a Danny Green. Alexis Ajinca is another free agent big the Lakers should look at. Really long and can block shots. Hes also a really good free throw shooter that has shot over 80% the past 2 seasons.

I really like the idea of bringing in Chandler if the deal is right.

- Championship experience
- defensive mentality
- veteran leadership
- experience with Byron Scott
- two man game experience with cp3
- local player

I know he's 32 and not a long term solution, but man I really think he'd help balance out the youth movement and bring that defensive culture

His price tag might even allow the team to bring in a SF like Green. If that happens you're looking at a really solid mix of youth and experience with a mix of roles players and potential stars that can be pretty attractive for let's say a Durant next summer.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I wouldnt mind seeing that. Id like to see us add another shooter Green would be nice but if we cant sign him what other shooters are on the market?

I think his game ages well, but I don't think he can handle 5 years at C. I think he and Randle can play at PF/C against most teams but we'll need someone (not called Sacre) who can play C against big teams like Memphis/Sac/Houston.

if you can get Chandler/Jordan and Middleton/Green than that team is actually respectable and could compete.

I agree that he probably cant handle 5 yrs at center. With the way the NBA is going positions are going to be a thing of the past. You will have front court players and back court players. It's going to be up to the individual teams to see how versatile they can be. In saying all of this I can see putting LA, some defensive center for cheap, and Randle on the court at the same time. The question will be is Randle quick enough to stay in front of SF at least long enough for the help side defense to help.

Jordan will be a max player and wI'll most likely take you out of the running for either of those two small forwards

Personally hope the lakers have no interest in him.

i like him, but most would say don't want him. His max quite cheap compared to Gasol or Deandre's.

Doc who you got DeMarre Carroll or Danny Green? I think DC plays SF as well. I assume you like Green more since you put him in your post. Plus Green will be cheaper :dontknow:

There was a article in Late May saying the lakers have "big time" interest in DeMarre Carroll.

I'd like the idea of bringing in Tyson Chandler for about 10mill next year instead of paying DeAndre Jordan or even Kevin Love max money. Tyson will do all the dirty work

The order is as follows:

1. LMA
2. Tyson Chandler
3. See Above

Both players could anchor the middle... Tyson will be closer to $10 million a year & an LA kid...
