Man, they were all so good but I gotta go with Jack Tingle. This 6'4, 204 pound all american dynamo averaged a stunning 2.3 ppg and .2 apg over the span his 39 game career.

So we're all deliberately avoiding saying George Mikan, then? I see.

The most obvious choice, that's EArl's category.

Yeah I was exposed to the NBA at an early age...a couple of years before Magic even became a Laker. I grew up idolizing Kareem, Wilkes, Adrian Dantley guys like that. Well Kobe is soon to be 37, so I don't view him as a kid anymore. But I'm glad that I've gotten a chance to see a lot of basketball in my time, the only thing funny to me from most of these young posters...especially on the GB, is that they think the way they see things now in the NBA is how things will stay like forever. It trips me the hell out, like all the Laker haters that think the Lakers are never going to recover and dominate again.
I've seen all my favorite sports teams go through lulls only to recover and win titles again. I hate to be a young guy basher some times but they deserve it in most cases because they lack the historical knowledge of the game...it's just a "what's hot now" generation.
Anyway I have a lot of fun with the guys here, they rag on me for thinking I'm some sort of dinosaur...hell I still play ball on Sunday's and can get up and down the floor better than most of 20 and 30 somethings out there because I'm in damn good shape. It's all good though with the jokes but when topics get serious here on any issue in the NBA I have a ton of respect form posters here and other boards as well, because they value my knowledge of the game.

I'm going to have to go with Ray Ellefson. A bit slight to play the center spot at 6-8 and 230 lbs, he passed away knowing that he made a contribution to a winning team, to the tune of two points on five shots. It reflects poorly on his advanced statistics, bringing his WS down to a less than sterling -0.1, but the eye test is really all that matters when you're talking about all time contributors back then. And yes, he evidently did have eyes, so he passes.
It would, unfortunately, be the only shot he made in his entire NBA career. Nonetheless, it put his season FG% slightly higher than your man Jack Tingle, Marionettetc

Those teams in Minnesota are disgrace to the Laker name. They were racists and bigots, and frankly should be eradicated from the Lakers history book.
