PG- D'Angelo Russell
SG- Jordan Clakson
SF- Kobe Bryant
PF- Julius Randle
C- Roy Hibbert

That line up is the only one that makes sense to me. Very unlikely we are a playoff team. The only chance I see us being a playoff team is if Russell, Clarkson and Randle grow with each other and all become very good players. Those three are the future of the Lakers and I just want to see them grow with other.

I think I would start Larry Nance and bring Randle and Clarkson off the bench, and keep Kobe at SG.
kobe/lou/young/clarkson is a repetitive logjam. Those 4 guys should not be on the court together. Kobe/Young and Lou/Clarkson would probably work best together imo, just because kobe can keep young in check with some of those silly shots he takes.

Russell - Lou - ??
Clarkson - J Brown - Frazier
Bryant - Young - A Brown
Bass - Randle - Kelly
Hibbert - Black - Sacre

We likely need a back up point guard.

Pg: Clarkson
Sg: Russell
SF: Bryant
Pf: Bass
C: Hibbert

For pg, I feel like Clarkson has a superior ability to breakdown the defense off the dribble as well as understanding of the system. He played the position well last season.

With Russell at sg, he's able to simply focus on his own off the ball movement and able to be put in a position to not over think things and just attack or use his vision to quickly create. Russell can get the back up pg minutes when Williams comes in.

At pf went with Bass cause he brings the complimentary style you'd need when playing off of 3 wings like Clarkson Russell and Kobe. Randle off the bench would be better utilized.

At center I'm just not a fan of Hibbert and his slow methodical movement, I almost went with Nance just cause I think his athletic energetic style could allow him to play center. He wouldn't back down from contact. Even so, Hibbert has the experience and run protecting ability to meet the win now goal.

I don't think Hibbert ever cracked the 30 MPG mark, which is understandable for a large human. So I expect to see a lot of combinations of Randle - Bass, Randle - Nance, Randle - Kelly etc with the first unit if we plan to play small.

I have a gut feeling the back up PG role will be played by Russell

Clarkson Russell
Kobe Lou Brown Frazier
(Kobe) Young A.Brown Holmes
Bass Randle Nance Kelly
Hibbert Black Sacre
