Anybidy Worried we don't have a legit backup C.

Be great to have a legit 7 foot backup C for hibbert. We are doing a playoff push in kobe's last season. We really need another true defensive big man to backup hibbs to make that playoff push.

you know when you havent been outside in a while, and you go out and the sun hurts your eyes?
That's kind of what i felt when i saw Lakers playoff push in a sentence.

Lakers have a lot of talent this season...don't act like there is no chance especially with a healthy Kobe Bryant.

There is no market for one, and it won't matter because we going to use an 8 man rotation which Bass will man the backup center minutes the most when Randle is in the game.

I really hope that upshaw has been working out nonstop, and has removed himself from bad influences and is just focused on basketball right now.
I hope he is spending all his time working out, and not doing other things that would get him in trouble or suck him back into his last troubles

Should be the main target for the back up C role lets not try to act cute by saying stuff like Upsaw being the back up C or Tarik Black.. If you want to win in this league you need legit back up options in every area and especially in a conference as brutal as the WC.

the problem we can't afford Anderson's unless we dump salary, but Miami doesn't want to take back salary because they want to get out of the luxury tax and same thing for Henson got anymore dumb ideas.

Highly doubt the Lakers make the playoffs or even come close. Kobe will be playing reduced minutes, and he didn't even look good last season. Russell and Randle are inexperienced while Clarkson, who will be improved, doesn't move the needle as much as people think. Depth is unimpressive at the PG, SF, and C positions.
This is a rebuilding team that played like **** last year to the point that the Lakers picked 2nd. It also doesn't help the head coach is a complete idiot too. Expectations of the playoffs should only happen if Curry, Durant, Harden, CP3, Duncan and Marc Gasol all have season ending injuries.

Let's enjoy what we have and take it one game at a time... We have upgraded at PG (Russell > Lin), SF (Kobe > Wesley), PF (Bass & Randle > Boozer) & Center (Hibbert > Hill)...
Let's enjoy watching the kids develop...

Why are people acting like we won't be in the conversation for a playoff birth? Because tell me, after San Antonio, Houston, Clippers, Golden State, New Orleans, OKC, and Memphis... Who else is qualified and a possibility to even talk about for that last spot? Dallas, Portland, Denver? Eliminate them. Sacramento? Doubt it. It comes down to either us, Utah or Phoenix. If we can stay relatively healthy and have nice player development in guys like Russell, Randle, we'll be in the conversation.

As far as backup C, I imagine on the depth chart we'll have Tarik Black slotted in that position. However, I believe Bass will get a lot of minutes there as well and essentially be the backup C. We'll go small a lot, whenever Hibbert isn't on the court. At this point, having someone like Anderson or McGee on the roster over someone like Frazier or Holmes makes no sense.
My hope for a final roster:
D'Angelo Russell/ Marcelinho Huertas/
Jordan Clarkson/ Lou Williams/ Michael Frazier
Kobe Bryant/ Nick Young/ Anthony Brown/ Metta World Peace
Brandon Bass/ Julius Randle/ Larry Nance Jr.
Roy Hibbert/ Tarik Black/
