Should the Lakers look at Gerald Wallace?

Post#1 » by FrozenIceCubes » Sat Sep 26, 2015 11:50 pm

He got waived. The Lakers still have 1 more spot left for the training camp roster and I would diff would like to see him and MWP battle it out for the SF spot... At the very least he gives the Lakers another body and also someone that will force MWP to work.

I think Wallace is a better fit for this team. Despite age ( even though he's 2 years younger then Peace) he is better suited for this team cause he can actually play at a fast pace which is what this team is actually gonna run .. Wallace also is more likely to contribute then MWP.

He killed Arenas' career and I hate him for that.

You want the lakers to bring someone in to make MWP work when the entire point of bringing in MWP was that he'd work with Randle? Why would the lakers need to bring someone in to make MWP work?

No thanks. MWP is fine. Leave that spot for a trade or something.

What is with you guys ? Why is it every freaking time somebody gets waived...it's should the Lakers look at him ?

Point blank Wallace has nothing left, hasn't been worth anything since his last days in Charlotte. He can't shot, too slow to defend, can't rebound and most importantly it's about building towards youth. Wallace offers nothing at this point.

would have been a better option than MWP at this stage. i say we should offer him a camp spot at least, he isn't going to be a key player or even a starter but off the bench we could do much worse

Let's put it this way: Any vet who won't be able to contribute to the growth of our young players, consider them strippers.

You can look, appreciate the beauty and get horny, but you can't and should not touch. Consider the "beauty and get horny" part as the highlight reels and the nostalgic feeling they bring.

"Appreciate the beauty, and get horny." Should be the lakers team motto this year.

MWP is a better shooter, and better scorer overall, and smart with his defense.

Internet fans. I think it's the same with every fanbase. At least this place, so far, has been immune to the whole "THIS OTHER TEAM JUST SIGNED A PLAYER WTF IS WRONG WITH OUR GM FIRE HIM NEW MANAGEMENT" thing.

Loads up the gun

That's more of an east coast thing though
