I don't think it's a glute issue for Russell, he probably bruised his tailbone on that fall

Last year Kelly tried to come back early from his hamstring injury and kept getting re-injured. I'm glad we're not making the same mistakes this year.

In a interview Kobe said he had the same injury as russell easier in his career. He said it took a couple of weeks to heal. I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the next couple of games.

I just got back from the open practice the Lakers held at Staples Center. Everyone participated but Kobe. Didn't even see him. It was a little over an hour long and it was more of a walk thru than a practice. Russell and Bass did everything everyone else did but considering the 'walk thru' pace of it, it was hard to tell who was hurt and who wasn't.

The team is not going to force the issue for preseason games even if it's a non serious injury. Having said that it would be nice to see Russell get some action in before the regular season.

I also want to see the young players like Randle, Clarkson, Upshaw, Kelly (why didn't he play much last game? He played very solid the first two), and Nance play more minutes this game. Excited for tonight's game. Laker's shouldn't underestimate Maccabi
