D-League draft results so far for the D-Fenders:

-Justin Hawkins (New Mexico State)
-Jamal Branch (St. Johns)
-Kentrell Gransberry (South Florida)
-Ian Chiles (Morgan State)
-Steve Weingarten (La Salle)

It'll never happen, but, in an alternate reality (not the NBA -- more like MLB), Russell would be served well by playing a couple games in development.

That is a pretty good roster for the D-League, could see Upshaw being top 5 in blocks for the league

D-Fenders play the Bakersfield Jam today. Game started an hour ago, but there aren't any live stats.

They still do, I think, for the regular season.

I remember when we pulled Manny Harris up a few years ago, he did well scoring at NBA level. I'm going to check out some games this season to watch Robert up close.

Upshaw expects to be back in the NBA this year and also praised Sacre as the player he learned the most from

"I knew I was going to be cut. I knew that before anybody," Upshaw told the Los Angeles Times.

"I've been through a lot. I've been through really a lot in the past year and a half," he said. "You don't get opportunities like that after you've done what I've done. I've just tried to put that behind me, use this opportunity, because I know at some point this year I'll be playing in the NBA."

But of his former Lakers teammates, Upshaw said he learned the most from Sacre.

"I think Robert Sacre is one of the most high-energy people. He didn't have an off day," said Upshaw. "... That's something that being a good teammate is all about."

I was about to post this lol!! The 3pt was awesome. He even pump faked at the 3pt line then hit a running floater on another play
