Batum+Noah is a good fall back plan once guys like Durant/ and other mega stars decide to resign with there team or look else where and you would still have a lot of money to spend.

With about $65 to spend I would say
30 to KD
20 to Mozgov
6 to Clarkson
2 Tarick Black
6 Rookie (Simmons

)
KD
Randle
Mozgov
Simmons
Dloaded
Let's roll!!

20 to Mozgov. You're joking, right ? Hassan Whiteside is far better and cheaper...probably.

please list the UFA/RFA/ETO.
anyway i think :
Beben
Beast
Batum
Affalo
Rachel
lineup will be nice enough.
need a good rugged 4/5 tho to backup both Beben and Beast.

Harrison Barnes would be a really nice addition.
Barnes + Horford would be a realistic off season and a chance to significantly improve your team.

Probably but I think Whitside will stay with Miami...
What do you think of that lineup though?

FA next year isn't really about who we want to get or who we should get, it's who we can actually get. There are certainly some interesting names out there who can immediately give us a boost, but we have to be very smart with the way we approach this FA, and not just go knee deep into another Durant/LeBron chase and ignore all second tier guys.
If I were running the show, here is what I would try to do:
Throw the max at Hassan Whiteside, and hope Durant flirts with Miami enough that they don't match the offer sheet;
In case Whiteside deal doesn't work out, throw a close to max deal at Al Jefferson. He isn't a superstar, but he is a damn solid post scorer that our young players can play around;
Give our second max to Chandler Parsons/Batum/DeRozan. Those guys are not superstars, but in a market filled with cash and deprived of top tier talent, those guys are going to get the max, and they do fill a huge need on this team;
If the Parsons/Batum/DeRozan deals all fail to materialize, throw the max at Harrison Barnes. His age makes him ideal candidate to grow with the young core;
If none of the max guys listed above wants to come, then I would throw some money at guys like Festus Ezeli, Terrence Jones, Bazemore, and Ryan Anderson.
I would be ecstatic if we can get Whiteside and Batum out of FA, but in all honesty, Jimmy will probably just waste two weeks chasing Durant and end up low balling everyone else to maintain "flexibility" again.

Way too early to talk about this... Should wait at least until after the trade deadline. Too many variables right now.

Look for unselfish players who care about a team first attitude.
Horford/Batum would be ideal and fill the roster with guys like Courtney Lee, Teletovic and possibly Sefolosha. Plugs two spots in our rotation where we are in dire need for help. Re-sign Clarkson and possibly Hibbert so you have the option to either go big or small depending on match ups.
Horford - Hibbert - Black
Randle - Kelly
Batum - Teletovic - Brown
Lee - Lou - Young
Russell - Clarkson

I've got no interest in bringing back Clarkson....he's just going to stunt Russell's growth. I'd much rather target a veteran pg (strictly for guidance purposes) and give Russell the keys to that offense. That's IF this franchise is really serious about him moving forward.

KD - Max
Hassan Whiteside - 12-15 mill?
Clarkson - 6-8 mill
Black - 2-3 mill
Rookie (Simmons)
Whiteside compliments Randle, KD is KD, Clarkson is one of our own and a good S.G in general, Black could be a good backup to Whiteside and Simmons could be a proper versatile 6th man, until he steps up into the starting lineup (who gets dropped would be interesting though)
its still too early though to say, who knows Mitch might try to go for DMC around the deadline if Sacramento ain't going well so it should be interesting

Whiteside, Batum, Ryan Anderson, and a decent backup PG.

I can't believe all that is possible no wonder why the Management isn't panicing they can turn the ship around quickly if everything falls there way.

We're not in a position to let talent walk, if you really want to move him, re-sign him and then move him at the trade deadline. He'll have good value, not like he is Nick Young. Better yet move Young and Lou and let Clarkson be the 6th man while starting someone like Courtney Lee or Sefolosha next to Russell.

Could've sworn we already had a 2016 FA thread.
Anyway, what i said then still applies, if Horford is interested in coming over and playing center next to Randle, you do everything possible to get it done.

He'll be 30 this year. How much longer do you think he can be effective?

I think he'll age well, definitely worth a 4 yr contract which is the most the lakers can offer. he's the type of blue collar elite role player that with his skill set compliments the youngsters in all ways. he plays strong position D, plays within himself on offense, and can stretch the floor very well. he's one of the best mid range shooting big men in the league, and that'll be a must when playing alongside Randle/Clarkson/Russell.
I used to think he was overrated as far as a start player goes, but as a complimentary piece, he's awesome.

He's unrestricted too.
