Agreed though, i'd love to see us get back to this brand of basketball we're more than capable of playing, if that happens, I think we'll be racking up enough wins to maybe out do last season's output.
As for tanking being a waste though, it depends on how you see the poor performance. Is it a team purposely trying to lose games or is it a team desperately trying to win while seeking to develop an identity past kobe? to my friends i've been saying one word since the end of the off season: heartbreak, thats what this year will be all about, the heartbreak of watching a young team let wins slip right through their fingers so often many will want each of our young core traded over 100 times individually before the season is over.
Win or loss for the Wizards game, the team showed some fire and more trust, that was a good enough indicator that the Philly loss did what it should've done to a team, even Kobe did better tonight even though I still think 10/24 with 11 3pt shots is still a lot of shots.
Tanking is indeed a waste of time for several reasons:
The Lakers are not gonna attractive FAs by getting a top pick
There is to many mediocre teams this year that means chances are one of those mediocre teams will end up moving into the Top 3 meaning the Lakers wasted there time shooting for a top 3 pick instead of developing a winning culture and also developing the young players.
The Lakers have a better chance of attracting a superstar FA by making the Playoffs rather then aiming for a top 3 pick.
The Lakers can't afford to waste opportunities for the pro-tank crew... The Lakers need to start playing winning brand bball and if it doesn't work out with the current group other resources such as trades need to be done.
I can't freaking believe people are still talking about tanking even though winning games this year is a absolute must...
Come on guys I'm not a Laker jocker or a optimist but the reality is the Lakers still have a opportunity to make noise this season... The WC standings right now is completely unbalanced besides the Top 2 teams.
Is my posting accurate or are you guys gonna find reasons to argue ?
