Nets and others also interested... Even though this isn't likely to transpire it's good to see the Lakers becoming ultra aggressive in the early season.

There's nothing good in seeing them trying to acquire the wrong type of players. Luckily, this is probably just another case of the team's name being thrown out there to gain a certain leverage for one of the parties involved.

More than anything else, Shabazz would cost us one of our 4 younger players. For that reason alone, I'd rather not do it.

I'm intrigued by the Shabazz+Dieng idea but I rather not see the Lakers get hoist in a trade.

I love Shabazz, but he is not the player we can use. We have too many creator/scorers as it is and to get him like a poster above me said we would have to give up one of the 4 young guys. Even if they don't all make it as we want still I would love to see the process.

This season is bigger than the last one. We have to tank for Simmons and get him. I know the odds are pretty low but I would love to see Russell/Clarkson/Simmons/Randle/Nance 5 on the floor in a Laker uniform. With a Luke Walton in charge of course. People can dream right :D

I don't know enough about Shabazz but I did see this coming considering the logjam in minny. Still, i don't know if he can actually defend though, didn't see much to be excited about tonight against us.

I like that we're active though I doubt any of Russell/Clarkson/Randle/Nance are available. I think everyone else is, obviously not kobe. With Monday coming quickly, this Monday Bass and Lou are eligible for trade.

i think certain players may have more value at the deadline like hibbert as most of his salary will have been likely paid by then in such a trade.
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

I'm not excited all that much about getting Shabazz. but it's likely the Lakers interest in him will precede in other deals opening up for the Lakers as they will most likely see what market value there players have.

We don't need Shabazz, we have him already....his name is Jordan Clarkson. You guys have to stop getting excited about every little rumor you here. Let me tell you one thing, these things only grow legs when the team that says it's just a rumor. If they didn't want it out there it wouldn't be. The Wolves have clearly floated this out there and like usual attached our name to it to get a buzz and see what could actually be discussed for him.

We don't need him and I feel Jordan is miles ahead of where Shabazz is.

what excuses ?

"Identity" "To much injuries" "Couldn't Gel". you know the excuses we have heard the last 5 years.. and now that everyone is healthy the reason for this season is solely blamed on the youth movement which is a bunch of crap... The Lakers know every year.. Fans and season ticket holders want to see a winning product and I'm not about to speculate what excuse there gonna have for next year cause we all know someone is gonna make 1 up.
