Kobe's last 4 games 25-5-5-1 51%

Post#1 » by LakersLegacy » Wed Dec 23, 2015 8:24 am

Kobe is having flashes of the Mamba.

31-3-5-1
22-8-3-0 DUNK!
22-3-6-0
25-7-6-3

2 wins and 2 loses. Welcome back Mamba. You may cost us a lotto pick, but its amazing to see this level of basketball after all the injuries.

"You may cost us a lotto pick"

I find this statement absolutely hilarious. Lakers win, Kobe shoots 50%+, Lakers fans: "You're costing us a lotto pick!!!"

Lakers lose, Kobe goes 5-23, Lakers fans: "WHY ARE WE LOSING TO PHILLY!??!!!?!"

Well.. one of our posters mentioned that Kobe is rethinking retirement although most likely fake.

4 good games is not going to erase anything. He still can't defend at this stage. While playing well offensively they are still terrible on offense.

Kobe can still defend when he WANTS. The problem is it's likely he's not gonna want to waste energy on that end.. Cause the team is gonna need his offense.

I think besides MWP he's our best defender.

Kobe Bryant has scored 1.07 PTS/POS over 19.3 POS/G over last 7. Only 3 players have posted higher efficiency on similar usage this season.

It's gotten back to the point where if Kobe's playing I expect him to have good offensive production every game. The season's just more compelling to watch when Kobe's playing well, it takes away the focus from young players' struggles and BScott's coaching.

So basically he's chosen to be a terrible defender to save energy? Not buying that. Overall it doesnt matter Im ready to embrace the rebuild. Been watching him since 1997 and he's left us with more than enough cool memories. I'll be glad when the franchise to move on.

He's clearly playing with a bum shoulder so I've given up even finding sense in his shooting percentages.

It was in my very first post here, so it's understandable that people want to scrutinize the unknown, but I got ridiculed for predicting this, pre-season:

Bryant: Always preferred him at the three, I'd predict the highest FG% of his career, as well as highest career APG this season. Can't wait to see him shut the doubters up. Not dead yet.

I still think my prediction will come true. Kobe really should aim to match MJ's FG% for at least one season before its all over for him.
