Which of these two former Lakers do you despise the most since joining the team since 2005?

I used to hate Sucky Atkins more than either of them. That's probably the only Laker I've never liked, even Smush and Kwame had their moments, especially vs the Suns.

I do miss Trevor Ariza and Andrew Bynum. They could still be here. And it sucked when Laron Profit had a career ending injury.

Since you mention Kwame Brown.. I recall his post presence and taking advantage of the Suns small-line up was a big reason the Lakers had a 3-1 lead in the 1st round.... Kwame had a lot of good moments with the Lakers.. he just wasn't consistent and had focus issues.

I despise Byron Scott as coach more than I would Samaki Walker at C, T-Air Brown at PG.

Kwame was a decent player actually. Smush on the other hand is just not NBA level

I don't know what it is, but I've always had a huge soft spot for Kwame. No idea why, but I always wanted him to succeed so badly that it actually hurt me emotionally when he failed. So odd that I felt that way and to this day I have no idea why. I even wanted him back after we traded him for Pau.

Smush Parker I just absolutely hate with a passion.

I absolutely concur with your view.

I also felt bad when he got booed real bad by the fans when he was touching the ball in the Laker home game... it was a unfortunate situation but Kwame will always be known as a solid post-defender which isn't that bad when you consider how much expectation he had on his shoulders.

So much unrealized potential with Kwame. His ceiling was super high had he only had bigger hands and a stronger psyche. MJ bruised him beyond recognition. Didn't Kwame post 25-15 or something against a prime Webber in their first meeting? What could have been... Great foot quickness and fantastic lock down defender. Awful, awful hands in traffic. Awful.

They both had so much potential. Kwame Brown had, according to Lamar Odom, the best body in the league. Awkward, but you can't knock Kwame for not being in great shape. He just had bad hands and no post skills. Yet he was exceptionally quick and had a decent face-up game, shown in Washington. But he changed his game too many times, to please too many different people, before settling on the easiest, which was a role-playing defensive big man (courtesy of Phil Jackson).

Smush had all the tools to be a great modern guard. 3-and-D. At his best, he was pretty good and fit really well on both ends of the floor. It wasn't for a lack of skills. He had all the physical tools too. But in the end, he just didn't have the right mentality and grit to be a really good role player.

Both were in the unfortunate position of playing next to a prime Kobe, in a city that sought championships. Both had to rise to the occasion and become championship caliber starters, and those were some unrealistic expectations. Above their paygrade and above their capabilities. Neither of them was able to shoulder that burden, but that list of casualties is quite long.

Probably the only player who really actively failed to live up to expectations was Dwight Howard, but I don't even despise him, he was who he was when he showed his true character in Orlando. That mistake was ours (or the Lakers).

Excluding Malone and Payton, Smush was one of the best dollar-for-dollar value contracts the Lakers have ever had in the Kupchak era.

Along this line, no player/transaction has hurt the Lakers more than Nash/trade. May not necessarily be his fault but thats who annoys me the most.

Kwame's only 33, give him a shot at center?
