Lakers Nation just posted on FAcebook asking fans if - They should sign Upshaw to a 10 day contract. Looks like like he might get some time in Lakers Uniform this season and this is the season to do it

Remember how some people said the FO would regret not giving Upshaw a roster spot because another team would steal him from us?

Black is struggling for minutes so I'm not sure what bringing Upshaw over would do. He's getting time to develop in the D-league which is far more important for the level he is at right now. Vander Blue is a ball handling guard that chucks like no tomorrow, hardly a player of need for us. We've already seen Jabari Brown and there's nothing new to him.

These names might sound exciting to someone who hasn't seen them play before.

I'd be down to see what Upshaw can do. If he loses us some games, that's totally fine.

I'm of the opinion and have been of the opinion that Huertas, Sacre and Kelly should be released/waived and for us to start bringing in 10 day contracts.

Upshaw, Frazier, Brown would be 3 perfect players to replace those 3 with.

Sacre should have been waived a long time ago. Huertas should also go, not that great

Kelly on the other hand has a role as the stretch 4 and does it alright. He isn't special but as the end of the bench player he can do a job at least

I am just curious
Who would you guys choose? Upshaw or Embiid
why?

I'd chose Embiid because he's funny on twitter.

You're kidding right? Name ONE game where Kelly played well entire season. for a stretch 4, he's sure bricked a lot of 3's. yes sacre sucks but we dont have to see him get minutes. Kelly is by far my least favorite player on this team.

I asked this question because I see some good and bad from those two players
There are no doubts that both are physically gifted. But both of them have some issues
Both Upshaw and Embiid are huge enough as a center. They can shoot the ball well as a center (soft hands), have flashes of post moves and are both great rim protectors.
Upshaw had some off court issues but he is attitude has improved a lot this season.
Embiid is injury prone at this stage. No one know when he could play his first game. His attitude was a bit doubtful with some previous news about him. He seems progressing well this season according to the recent workout video.
Embiid should have a higher potential. Upshaw has great potential too, and he has no injury issue until now.
Its all about attitude and health in the NBA.

ps. If we can have both, that would be fantastic !!

If there is even slight assurance that Embiid can get healthy, theres absolutely no comparison. Embiid has more talent and upside in literally every aspect of the game, its just his foot, which will most likely plague him his entire career (ie: Yao Ming).

Upshaw's got a serious serious problem with drugs man. It's one thing to want to enjoy your weed when you make millions on a guaranteed contract. But when your playing career was hanging in the balance, and you still do drugs, that really shows you what his priorities are.
