Who would you pick if LA gets the no.1 pick?
And why?

I haven't been following the draft but is Ingram the consensus number 1 pick? You never draft for fit if you have the number 1 pick in the draft. That's the worst mistake you could make. Lakers can't let Julius Randle dictate who they pick, frankly Lakers should be open trade offers for him.

Orlando had the number one pick and drafted for need, opting to go with Penny Hardaway instead of the consensus best player, Chris Webber.

They traded down

This also enables Russell to play more without the ball since Simmons is basically a point guard. Plus, they were high school team mates. I would then trade Randle for a mid 2st round pick and look for a Stretch 5 type.

Orlando got three first round picks for their #1 pick. It's possible that they weren't sold on Webber as the number one guy anyways. And you can't honestly tell me they wouldn't have at least been better off long term with Shaq and Webber vs Shaq and Penny

Injuries notwithstanding, Hardaway and Shaq is waaaaaaaay better than Webber and Shaq ... Hardaway was the correct pick. That team was a better team with an elite PG over an elite PF. There's a reason Shaq won three rings with a jump shooting PF in Horry.

1. Ingram
2. Simmons
3. Trade
