Not as informed about Zubac as other prospects, but I do know he was projected to go as early as the teens. Teams shied away from him because he wouldn't agree to be a stash. I'll post more thoughts once I've reviewed these videos

Big men who can pass are huge assets in Luke's offense.

Literally only Skal or Davis falling to us would have been better. Love this pick so so much, he automatically is our best center right now and at worst is going to be our backup center next year.

i think him being a lakers fan only makes this that more special because you know he will work because this is his dream team, my main concern is his range away from the basket but he can pass out of the post as well as double teams and is a good back-to-basket type guy so that will help us with ball movement and gives us something. If he can start knocking down 12-15 foot jumpers and become better as a rebounder and defender we will have ourselves a really good starting center.

At moment of draft he had 400 twitter followers, now approaching 6k...lol

now he just needs to learn it's "Purple and Gold"

Wait, listening to his phone interview this kid had a stress fracture on his foot before? That's a bit scary.

At 32, a stress fracture is no thing

Goes on to note it depends on his buyout and how that goes

Lakers got about as good as possible for a second round pick. I heard that he would have drafted sooner, but his game disappeared when he played last, but has really good handling skills. The Lakers surely will get Kareem or Worthy to be his special coach and start his teaching with the summer league. Put him with Russell, Randle, Clarkson and Ingram and it should be fun to watch

From the Preseason Strengths Scouting video:

-As shown in video, does a great job running the floor. Soft hands, good finisher in traffic.
-Soft touch around the rim, can finish with either hand, solid footwork
-Great in the PNR, sets great screens and rolls hard; hands always in the ready position
-Great size and strength for a 19 yr old, can hold his own in the post
-Shows promise in defending the PNR
-Tools there to be a deterring presence in the paint
-Not afraid to muck it up, shows toughness
-Good nose for the ball on offensive rebounds, really hustles/boxes out for them. Dare I say some flashes of Tristan Thompson like intensity on the glass? (At least from the clips I've seen)
-By all accounts, a good FT shooter. Has potential to develop mid-range shot. Form looks solid.
-Probably the most intriguing aspect is his potential as initiator in high post sets ala Bogut. Seems to have the ability to make reads and deliver passes in the right spots. Should be able to be realized under Luke's system.

Its amazing that Zubac, and Ingram for that matter, weren't even born when Kobe played his first NBA game.

This guy's form is decent, he'll develop a nice mid range no problem. His post skills are solid too. He reminds me of Divac a little bit. I like this pick a lot. I gave it a B because he had foot injury in 2014 and knee injury in 2015 that might linger down the road. I'm pulling for the kid to have a successful Lakers career.

I hope to see him in summer league. Seems like a decent enough pick.
