I know Luke will play Deng allot at PF but I really hope he starts Ingram from day one and lets him blossom... He is a special talent and should be an All Star in 3 years... Lineup is as follows:
PG: Russell (6'5") & Clarkson & Huertas
SG: Clarkson (6'4") & Williams
SF: Ingram (6'9"), Deng & Brown
PF: Deng (6'9"), Randle & Nance
C: Mozgov (7'1"), Black & Nance (Zubac)
I know Luke may start Deng at SF but I am hoping he starts Ingram... Deng is much more effective at PF now at this point in his career... Check out the length we have now... Russell & Ingram have then highest potential on this team...
Let's go Lakeshow...

Line up's will change a lot this season.
Starting off the season, i like.
Russell
Clarkson
Ingram
Randle
Black
Gives us some speed, toughness, and small ball. Now our defense won't be good at any point with any rotation because they simply can't play defense.

Deng (wing defender) & Mozgov (rim protector) are our two BEST defenders... They will both start DAY ONE... The real question is, do we CHASE Westbrook now or waking until the end of the season (mid season)... I would offer Russell & Randle...

Russell and Randle doesn't get you Westbrook... Russell Randle and Ingram might... But I doubt it.
The only way it happens is if Russell tells his agent to go to hell and puts it out there that the ONLY team he will sign an extension with is the Lakers... And that makes no sense.
We'd need a lot of help from another team or teams to land Westbrook, I think.

Not sure on that. I don't think many teams can outbid us for Westbrook. I think Russell, Randall, and picks is a start. I think we can get away with keeping Clarkson and Ingram. If your scenario happens then OKC will want youth and no other team can provide what we offer that I can think of. Celtics no. Knicks no. Cleveland could offer Kyrie but that doesn't make sense. I can't think of any team that has the assets we do. I have a feeling this is something Mitch prepared for if it happens.

Ugh I don't want Ingram on the court same time as Lou Williams. He will never see the ball

Why would we trade for him? He's not going to lead us last the Warriors. We will need a superstar team to take down the Warriors and Russell Deng and Mozgov won't even get us into the playoffs.
It would be completely stupid to trade our kids for Russell Westbrook when he could leave us in the summer and or we could just wait to sign him in the summer.

Russell
Ingram
Deng
Randle
Mozgov
Edit:
Defensively,
Russell's positional defense is pretty savvy already. He's smart about how he spends his energy and is pretty stealthy, reads the game very wel. His length will bother most PGs now when his lateral quickness should have improved.
Ingram plays both sides of the floor and has quick reactionary speed as well as mantis arms. Good reader of the game, too. His length will bother every SG in the league if his feet can keep up.
Deng. Savvy veteran. Should still be quick enough to do a solid, good job defensively.
Randle. Beast. Under Luke, he will learn how hard he needs to play on D and I think having him as a coach can and will change his career, turn him into a defensive beast.
Switches between these four players play to our advantage as, to some extent, they're all interchangeable without too much of a drop in defensive efficiency.
Then there is Mozgov. Weakness: pnr, pnp. He's simply too slow when it comes to reactionary foot speed. Luke has to figure out a way to compensate for this because Mozgov needs to live in the low post and never leave, somehow. Perhaps the lengthy line-up I'm suggesting could afford him that luxury with an aggressive perimeter defense. Make Mozgov be a rim protector only, as much as humanly possible.
If the other four can put up an aggressive type of intense perimeter defense, offense won't need much coaching with Russell, Ingram, Deng, Randle running the break. Who's gonna stop Ingram and Randle from alley oops dunks fed by Russell? What PG is gonna stop Russell's high release fast break threes? Showtime!
It's all about the defense. I like this flexible roster of ours s lot. It's a significantly better roster than last year already.

I won't be mad tho if we dont land any major FAs mext season.
I really high on Randle and if Russell is as good as we thought will be, the Lakers is in great position. Ingram is the wildcard, i want to see summer league games first

I like our roster as is.
Nice mix of veterans and youth.
Don't chase Westbrook now.
Add a couple of solid veterans to fill
Out the roster .
Play solid basketball.
Turn the losing culture around to one of being competitive and fun and team work oriented
Then go after Westbrook and others
It would help if we had room for 2 max spots next year

I want PG13 next to Russell and Ingram before next offseason. That could land us Westbrook. Plus, there are many other big name FAs next summer who would want to play on that team. Especially if they do well this year, which I think they will. I think Russell will have a breakout year.

Whoever trades for Westbrook is going to want assurance that he is willing to resign with them. That said, why would he want to resign with us if we gut our team for him? Wouldn't he rather just want to wait for the offseason to sign with us as a better team?

I like this. I like this a lot! Clarkson will def see some time at PG. He's versatile like that as we all know. But Nance is an energy guy. He gotta get the feel of the game. So he will be at PF before Deng would. I am excited about Mosgov...the guy can run!

I really think my boy lou will impress some people this season and under Walton I think a lot of players will be passing the ball more at least I hope so and if they don't they get benched.
I would love to see Black get a lot of starts this year and play a tone he is the player I think will Improve the most.
