You'd have to hope it's Zubac.

Hope, yes. Likely is a different story. Aside from Zubac, I really don't know who I'd like to get the backup minutes. Everyone else seems to be power forwards.

I think Black will develop into a solid pick and roll big under Walton.

I hope and expect Zubac gets a ton of minutes in the d-league. Tarik Black hopefully proves himself and gets those backup minutes.

Luke also coached Tarik at Memphis during the lockout.

This was a tough one. I went with Tarik because I don't think they rush Zubac. Towards the end of the season I can see Zubac getting more minutes but I think Tarik is the backup center for 3/4 of the season.

I have a feeling that Nance is going to be the smallball center, moreso than Randle. Also, I don't think Yi, Black or ZUbac will get much minutes (unless we tank).
Black would be horrible. He is undersized and prone to fouling (not saying Nance would be great defending), however, I would rather go for Nance over black or randle for smallball center.

I voted Tarik, but there I don't think there will be a definitive backup per se. Luke will probably change it up based on the matchup

Aside from upper body strength, I'm not sure Black does anything better than Zubac right this minute... And a fair number of things worse.
I like Black and last year, I would have been right there with you... But Zubac isn't like other rookies... He already has professional experience. I think he's ready for decent bench minutes right now, assuming Mozgov's healthy.

Zubac. Might even be the starting C at the end of the season.

Mozgov will get injured a bit here and there and doubt he'll play all the minutes - Black will get most of back up minutes and Zubac will be our next Sacre (do I dare say it?), but will see more minutes then him. He needs to earn it first IMO

edit: gonna get a lot of hate for this I know, but it's how I feel. he'll get plenty of playing time, but to say he'll start over Moz or Black very much doubt it. he'll get plenty of time, so don't worry about it.
