Lou and Calderon are not playing in this game. Interested to see if Luke is steadfast in JC being the 6th man here

It will be interesting to see how far we are from the Warriors' offense. Defensively we've been pretty good on stretches. It's still a preseason game, but I'm looking forward to see our guys up and gunning, playing with poise and aggression in a good way.

Ingram's been very subpar. I know he's a rookie and only 19, but I expected a little bit more from him, at least a more consistent jump-shot. Defensively he's gonna be a difference maker for the years to come. Hope he's gonna bloom just fine because even Russell with all his struggles had a better pre-season last year under BScott.

I don't know but I'm rooting for Young seeing how well he's feeling under Luke's coaching. I mean, I didn't know he can dish so well and play defense.

If everything goes well with the development and he won't be traded anytime soon, Zubac is gonna be my favourite Laker after Kobe's retirement.

D'Angelo needs game-to-game consistency over the whole season to get to the next level. Kid's got a huge potential and is proving my scepticism about him wrong.

I'm interested to see this game, because this ain't the Kings and such. This here's the real deal. I wanna see how Russell looks, and leads against real defense. How do we defend against the best offense in the league?

I'm not expecting too much tbh. This team is just miles better than us. If they actually come to play....they should have no problem putting us away. I just wanna see who steps up...who can play their game against top competition....and who turns out to be a bit of a fair-weather player. 30 points and 12 rebounds against teams like the Kings are nice....can anyone give the Warriors fits?

I'm hopeful we have a couple guys who are able to. I'd really like to see Russell have a good game tonight. Create shots for his teammates, and be able to do the things he wants to do. This is a good statement opportunity for a few guys...especially him. I'm actually glad this is one of the last preseason games. This is where things tighten up...coaches refine minutes and guy's start to take things serious.

Probably the only advantage we have over the Warriors is our bigs. I'd like to see us exploit that as best we can. Dunno...seems like the only real chance we have. We're not gonna make it going three for three with these guys....thats for sure.

Would love to see Dlo put together another solid game. Consistency is key for him.

I expect everyone to come out with a lot of energy since it's the Warriors. Should be a entertaining game.

Ingram is disappointing me so far. I expected the stat to be poor as his shot, length and quickness at this level are no longer advantages as they were in College, but I was hoping for more "fire" and effort. Right now he seems to be going through the motions and seems overmatched. All young guys get their physical and mental butt kicked when they come in... how they adjust typically tells you what you have. I hope to see him take the effort up a few notches tonight.

This post is exactly why I want him to come off the bench. This guy is not NBA ready yet. He's a rail.

Alot of this is the constant hype. Simmons is the next Lebron...who was supposed to be the Lebron a couple years ago? I can't even remember anymore. These guys get so overhyped...and they come out early, and here you are sitting with the next Kobe. Wasn't Russell being compared to Magic?? I mean WTF is that stuff??

Meanwhile fans are like 2-year-olds....you stick something new and shiny in front of them, and they quiet down....for about an hour. Randle averaged a double-double his first season...and half this chat-board's ready to move on. How does a rail like Ingram stand half a chance? People need to relax. This guy needs time to develop. He's this whispy-thin young man trying to adapt to the speed of the NBA, the physicality...the talent. He's trying to learn these systems...you've got everyone yelling 50 different things to you on every play "be here...no here...no here" and on and on.

I get it, that these young players certainly dont mind this hype machine when they are getting drafted, and contracts are being drawn up. But I think long-time fans of this sport really aughta know better. Nobody compares players to Elden Cambel, Olawakandi, or Jodi Meeks....no the draft's full of Pau Gasols, Magic Johnsons, Lebron James, "Plays low like Barkley" and all that.

Ingram came out because the light was on him...this was his chance, but he prob would have gotten alot out of another 2 years of college. Sadly, we're gonna be that learning period for him. People need to give this guy at least through next season before you can even start to write this guy off, or be disappointed. Remember like 4 preseasons ago, when Xavier Henry came out and had like a 28 point break out game? "There's our boy" ....I vividly remember almost every chat post at the time just anointing him the next face of the franchise. Where's he now? I couldn't tell you if he's even in the NBA.

Watch for growth man....don't worry about stats. Yeah...its totally freakin awesome to draft a guy who pours 20+ points in his rookie season....but not everyone becomes an NBA legend. It's not fair to 'expect' your pick to be that guy. Especially when you can just look at the guy, and see he's not NBA ready.

I just worry about guys like him who come in with these unfair expectations. If Randle's double-double has people thinking trade, this Ingram guy has no shot with us. Luke needs to play him the right minutes at the right times...and let him acclimate, and build confidence.

Im not trying to have a go at you Landsberger. I just had this exact conversation with another longtime Laker fan just this Thursday. We were talking about the preseason so far, and the first three things he said were: A) Mozgov is doing much better than he thought, B)Randle doesn't look like he fits in this new system, and so if he gets traded, thats cool with him, and C) "I heard Ingram was supposed to be this great shooter, and he doesn't look like he can shoot at all. Im just worried that we got a total bust here"

This guy needs to be brought along at his own pace. Like I said...you gotta look for growth, not stats. Is the guy getting better. I don't start thinking ceiling on players till around year 4 or 5. Then I think you start to have a pretty good idea of what a guy is capable of. And even then....guys reinvent themselves....get on 'perfect fit' teams, and blow that theory out of the water. It's when a guy stops growing, that you start worrying.

Let's see how Clarkson's defense will fare against elite offensive talents.

Excited to watch Julius vs Dray, unfortunately Green isn't playing.

I'm less worried about Ingram than I was about Russell last year, and I was super high on Russell and Ingram is probably having a worse summer league / pre season. He's just not there yet with his physical maturity.

Draymond not playing. Curry, Klay, and Durant will start but will likely see limited minutes due to 2nd night of b2b

Russell is the headliner. Ingram has a year long pass before anyone says anything....i think

< wonders if we could get a trade for D. Green? I don't think he's been happy since the Durant signing, could be wrong but we'll see through out the first half of season.
