what the **** where was that catch and shoot rhytm jump shot when he was in our SL team? he's actually fast on his catch and jump coming off screens. maybe he just felt more pressured getting close outs by real NBA players

Anthony Brown situation kinda reminds me of Andrew Goudelock. Very good in the D-League (MVP) but seems can't perform in NBA level.

MWP should've been cut...Brown would not look like that had he been kept but I'm sure he would've had spurts like that here and there, something MWP could never have any chance of doing anymore

As much as I would have been OK with MWP being cut, I think he deserves at least some of the credit for Randle's consistency and effort on Defense... There have been several series this season that it looked like Randle was channeling Artest... Getting in Cousin's head probably the biggest example.

I wouldn't take 30+ in the D-League as an indicator of anything. Xavier Henry coming back from a ruptured achilles put up 37 pts in his first D-League game and looked like a man among boys. Manny Harris has been lighting up the D-League circuit for ages.

Re: Around the NBA VIII
Brown was getting those same looks in SL and preseason, his problem was his own head....he stressed out on shooting. Seems he was always thinking about his misses and didn't look to mix up his selection with drives to find a rhythm. That said I hope we can one day bring him back...hell we did it for Jabari Brown twice.

Re: Around the NBA VIII
first time watching wiggins this season (vs philly i know)
1. wow, this kid is still growing. bone structure in his face is different, and he's still bulking.
2. his game is so mature. it's really impressive in the run and gun era gsw turned the nba into. just watched him play through contact on a flop and drill a 3 before the end of the half. before that he hit a turnaround J (kinda KG-esque), and got an offensive rebound for a layup. all fundamentals.
3. thibs is the best thing to happen to minnesota with two superstars in wiggins and towns. just saw towns, who was out of position and boxed out by 2 defenders, outhustle and outrebound both of them.

I have no stats to back this up, and is going off of some games I've watched...........but I think that Anthony Davis is far and away the best player in the NBA. He's freaking amazing.
I told this to a friend at school and he just laughed at me.

I think he's 5th. No more no less. I'd quite easily have Lebron, Harden, Curry over him. Durant is debatable and he's right on par with Leonard.

I'd take all those over him too

Devin Booker sporting a -1.90 RPM with a slightly tolerable 0.45 ORPM. Can't wait for people to still rank him and Mudiay (-2.22) higher than Russell in all their rankings.

I like Booker a lot but he's been pretty bad this year so far.

Playing like a massive black hole atm and without any sort of efficiency.

I would also include Westbrook with the way he's playing. He's been surprisingly efficient scoring wise without Durant at almost 1.4PPS. He's also sporting a 32.8 PER which is best in the league so far.

WB is still a weak defender and AD with the right coach could be elite in that area without being too far off of Russ on offense himself. Pelicans need to figure their **** out and can Gentry soon.

i haven't looked back to see who it was, but i remember posting on this thread when Gentry was hired that it was a terrible hiring and getting flamed for not realizing how successful Gentry really is.

If only we have roster space I'd pick up Lance Stephenson waived by the Pelicans.
