Key Reserves: Lou Williams / Jordan Clarkson / Tarik Black

Injuries: D’Angelo Russell (sore left knee), Nick Young (strained calf, right leg) and Jose Calderon (right hamstring strain) are out. Larry Nance Jr. (right knee contusion) is questionable. Ivica Zubac is on D-League assignment.

Key Reserves: Trey Lyles / Selvin Mack / Joe Ingles

Injuries: George Hill (sprained left big toe), Derrick Favors (left knee bone contusion) and Alec Burks (left ankle rehabilitation) are to be determined after missing Utah’s last game on Saturday.

Key Notes:

Gobert is the focal point of a Jazz defense that is arguably the most formidable in the NBA. Utah limits its opponents to the fewest points (94.8) and assists (18.1), while forcing them to shoot the second-worst field goal percentage (42.8).

Another huge reason for the Jazz’s defensive success is their trademark grind-it-down pace. Utah plays the slowest basketball in the league, averaging only 93.2 possessions per game, which poses a challenge for the Lakers, who like to get up and running with 101.5 possessions a night.

Huertas is better than Calderon.

I don't know why Luke didn't utilize Huertas seeing as our offense had become stagnant without or normal rotation. We really need a guy to create open looks for the many guys who can't create for themselves on this team. Also, hopefully he allows us to play at a faster tempo than Calderon. Lately we're barely getting the ball up at 16 seconds on a lot of possessions. Really have taken a step back at utilizing our speed.

I'm not so sure about that. Huertas is a good passer, but against good teams he becomes a liability on offense. He's way too timid to shoot the ball. Atleast Calderon takes the shots that he's given, and I think he's actually our best three point shooter statistically. I'd say they're more of a wash than anything.

crazyeights mentioned this earlier but Marcelo plays a much higher tempo on offense than Calderon. He might not be as safe with the ball but if the offense is struggling he'll get us good shots early in the clock.

Good time to bring back Zu... Mozgov is a foul trouble guy off and on and Black and Randle aren't big enough to deal with Gobert

But.. in the interview yesterday with Winters Zubac said he was really sick from flying commercial. Great... injured and next the whole team sick.
