Which player from the 2017 draft would you like to add to the lakers

I think fultz and ball are the top 2 right now, and there is plenty of depth after them, but which one would best fit with the lakers?
The do it all fultz?
Or the winner/make everyone better in ball?
Or someone else
Both ball and fultz would likely mean a move to sg for Russell, which probably isn't a bad thing, but which of the 2 would be the better fit?
Ball could be playing late into he tournament, whereas fultz is unlikely to make the NIT, it will be interesting to see how that effects draft stock (didn't last year with lsu and simons )
Which young stud would you take to the current lakers core? And for what reasons?

Fultz by far but lets not count our chicken before the eggs hatch.

1. Fultz 2. Jackson
If we were to get the first pick, you can't pass up on fultz...
Second pick its up in the air, some people will say Ball, but i'd rather pick up Josh Jackson...
I've also heard some people want some guys named Tatum/Isaac... I don't know them very well

I guess nobody watched the matchup last night where Fultz took a backseat to Ball in the head to head matchup. It wasn't even close. Ball shut him down defensively, but go ahead be impressed by the empty stats of Fultz.

Wins mean very little to me at the NCAA level. Kansas had Embiid, Black, and Wiggins on the same team, and yet that was probably the worst team Kansas has had in the last 15 years. If anything UCLA has the most talent in the pac 12, yet they are only its 3rd best team.

man if that is the type of production Fultz gives when he is being shut down, then i want him even more.

No you're right, I did not. But i can't help but think that you had some confirmation bias glasses on when you are calling someone that posted a 25/6/6 on 9/19 as being shut down. The guy is still producing efficiently despite being the one and only focus for all teams facing UW.

This is the prime example of why stats are misleading.
See if you can actually watch the broadcast of the game, it was on P12 networks, and you'll hear the commentators predict what you just did.

Ball laid the smack down
He controls the game on both sides of the ball, while making everyone around him better. He is also sharing the guard duties with holiday and the coaches son! That is a trait that will defiantly translate to the NBA! Dealing with egos and making sure they get theirs!
I think ball is the top choice, fultz is very good as well

Disclaimer. I don't dislike Ball, my argument was whether GMS would draft him top 3....
Honestly, I see Ball as another Ricky Rubio, which is very very good.
That being said, Jackson might be the best fit...

My only knock on Ball is that ugly jump shot. That will not translate well into the NBA. His shot will likely get blocked 50% of the time.

For this Lakers squad, I take Ball easily. He elevates his teammates to another level. UCLA is an average team without him, but Ball makes them a contender. Ball is what KAT was to Kentucky as Fultz is what D'Angelo was to Ohio State. One is a leader that makes everyone around him better, the other puts up gaudy stats on a horrible team.
Give Ball the reigns and he'll completely change the culture of this young Lakers squad. There's this quiet intensity about him that just lets you know he's the real deal. I dont see that in Fultz, if you want a guard that gets you 25+PPG then sure you go with Fultz, but dont expect the rest of your team to be very good. But if you want a great offense where all your starters are averaging 15+ PPG then you take Ball easily.

Russell took an average Ohio State team to the third round of the tournament and plyed in the best conference in college basketball....
Is any kentucky player really a good example, where Cal gets 4-5 5* recruits every year.
Kentucky had Towns, Booker, Harrison twins, Ulis, and WCS all on that team and lost to wisconsin that season and barely beat Notre dame that was led by Grant. If anything, Towns was heldback by Cal at Kentucky

I voted Fultz but Josh Jackson is an intriguing player for our current squad. If you believe Ingram is a small ball 4, putting Jackson at the SF position gives us a point forward and two way player.

Fultz.
Fultz and Russell would be something else in the backcourt.

It's not a pretty shot but he's by far the best shooter in the top 5 of the draft. He seems to play smart enough to know when to shoot and when not to. The thing I like about Ball is how well he would fit with Dlo on offense, and that he is tall enough to comfortably guard 2's. I like Jackson a lot if we didn't have ingram, but i see him as a 3 in this league. I'll be honest, I don't know enough about Fultz to pass a judgement.....he seems to be the top choice right now , but if we somehow end up with a second pick, It's going to be hard to pass up on ball. That being said, that would potentially be our third 2nd round pick in a row with a decent amount of bust potential.....jury is still out on the first two, though Dlo still seems like the pick we should have made (Porzingis wasn't really an option) and B.I was without doubt the obvious pick there.....while Ball>Jackson would certainly have some opponents in Lakernation.
Also I'm really curious if someone who has followed Fultz this year can give me a brief scouting report because his highlights (i know...i know. highlights are just highlights..) are a little underwhelming.
It's funny, like the rest of us I would love to get another top 3 pick, but our young core is starting to look real crammed right now, with the SG position being the only real position of need (I want to see what Zubac can do...) Of course a good argument can be made for drafting a point guard and moving DLo to the 2....either way the front court is pretty stacked with young talent at this point, and unless we are getting rid of Moz or Deng drafting another front court player seems like overkill.

What about Shawn Marion or Kevin Martin?
With a top three pick a team is attempting to draft a generational talent. Marion and Martin were both good but not really what a team is hoping for with a top three pick.
