Houston pick currently on track to be #27. Also takes on an additional $500,000 in salary for next year.

Lol nice. Was hoping it was a worse team but it's still a solid deal!

Basically the worst first round pick available if it's Houston's

It looks like they only have their own pick this year. So we're looking at 26 or worse unless Boston or the Clippers catches them in the standings.

If those other picks were really available, I don't get this move at face value. I would hope there's something else to this.

This team needed a "type" and Brewer fits it, plus a draft pick, and no real added salary = success.

Well i'm going to look at the positive in this. At least we get a pick back and this move should put us in a prime position for the second worst record in the league.

This is actually kind of disappointing. Not because of the lateness of the first, but rather because the Rockets would otherwise have had to attach an asset to dump someone as useless as Brewer. Although I guess, unless there are some cap gymnastics I'm unaware of, there's a decent chance that Brewer can still be moved again assuming that he averages something like 10 ppg, shoots 37% from 3 and plays defense. I feel like this means Charlotte, Toronto and Indiana were all just smoke screens put out by the Lakers FO.

Now please, trade Swaggy.

Edit: the 37% from 3 is not happening. He is more likely to average 17% from 3 than 37%.
