We went full hollywood on this one

Sports Illustrated wrote:“Gunnar Peterson works out up to nine clients a day at his Beverly Hills gym, and they’re often a mix of pro athletes and movie stars. J-Lo says he’s the best trainer she’s ever had, Sly Stallone was so grateful for Peterson’s help he cast the trainer in Rocky VI, and after Pete Sampras won the 2002 U.S. Open he gave Peterson a racquet signed THANKS FOR EXTENDING MY CAREER.”

He's a guy who works with Hollywood and Players from individual sports... Who knows.

It seems like a hire completely lacking any real substance to me. I mean if you're the Lakers, don't you want someone on the cutting edge of the field? Shouldn't the resume be a little longer and more robust?

My first thought... He's Jeannie's 'trainer'... Nudge-nudge, wink-wink...

sounds like the guy's actually pretty successful at what he does. he'd probably need to drop the celebs in favor of the Lakers.

Yeah, this is really the only important question. Who cares which Kardashian he's trained.

Director of Strength and Endurance Training can be alot, or he can be a figurehead. He may not have much to do with their specific routines as it applies to B-Ball. More of an overseer.

I'll give the guy a shot. Things have been rough, but this is still a premiere sports franchise, with almost $100 mil per year in salary. They aren't getting some 2-bit fad guy, cause Kim recommended him over lunch.

Does kinda make your eyes roll, when you read it. I'll give you that.

I'm guessing Pelinka used to hire him for his clients for pre draft workouts and such.

Gunner did a interview the other day and it sounds like his connection to the lakers is Rob. Apperently he plans to keep his personal training business going as well. So is the lakers job his side hustle, or is his celebrity personal business the side hustle? Either way I dont like it. He said he planned to work with the lakers in the mornings and in the afternoons attend to his other business. Dont like it.

Yeah, that doesn't sound appealing to potential players... And it especially sucks because we fired a full-time guy to give him the position.
