since there is a thread for everyone else I haven't seen one for Young

Many think he'll opt out to take more money. But I feel he'll yet again take less money to say in La

If his happy to take less money do you want him to stay? He'd be a lot of fun to watch once again with the new team that will be put together :)

This Team needs the Swag!

i hope he opts out. Very happy with Nwamba at S.G and Young is easily the most frustrating player to watch. When you want him to play well, he's rubbish, but when you want the team to tank, he decides to play out of his mind.

He's a good player but my god he's frustrating.

There's a thread for "everyone else" because there's been actual lakers news about them....

That and people care about them because they aren't irrelevant Nick Youngs

There's no way he's staying and us Laker faithful should be eternally grateful for that. This coming season will be all about the development of the Ball/Russell backcourt, not wasting valuable minutes on a 32-year-old chucker.

i'd love it if he'd opt in

i think playing with ball would've greatly raised his stock around the league, maybe even landed us a 2nd come trade deadline

I'd also love if he opted in. As many shooters on this team we can have, the better.

Let's cut him a good bench roll. He's a shooter and he can get buckets if he's on. He's just not consistent enough.

Peace out. Didn't like the influence on Russell and Clarkson. Hope he gets paid. I bet its for the Clippers. He does love LA.

I think he will opt out based on his exit interviews last season, but I wish no ill will and hope he is successful on his next team.

He had a good season, despite the odds against him (stretch waive rumors, etc, etc), and I think it even shocked the front office. But they already told him they don't need him next season, so he'll probably opt out, because after his good season he should get a decent ($$$) final deal for his career. Evan Turner got freaking 15 million or something PER year.

wouldn't Boston match him though, unless they're too busy trying to get Hayward and/or butler

seriously, then yeah absolutely for about 4-5 million per year he'd be well worth it

I forgot to mention that I do wish the Lakers could wing a S&T or something, not sure if that is possible. I think we'd have the cap space, but not sure how a S&T leaves the team trading. It kind of sucks losing him for nothing, since they tried to trade him so many times, especially after he had a good season and the league's new style makes shooters more valuable (IMO).

I'm trying to trade him on 2K now, just don't know where he'd want to go. You guys said the Clippers since he loves LA, and he was there before, and had some good moments, but then he hopped to the 76ers for a year, then moved to the Lakers. So, he seems fickle to me. He might want to revisit the Clippers, especially since they could use some wing depth (although he's not the Carmelo Anthony/Paul George caliber they've been starved of for several seasons now), but my point is he could go anywhere.

He damn sure ain't going back to Washington, lol. He hated it there.
