Who is our best player next season(2017-2018).

There are several possibilities in my eyes.

Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, D'Angelo Russell, and Randle. I don't think JC but I'll put him in the poll along with zubac just in case. But don't tell me to put Moz in there.

Obviously as a homer, I'm going with Brandon but I think Russell has a great chance to be the best on the team.

Lonzo and Randle a long shot for me. But if Lonzo some how manages to be the best in his 1st season I'd be pretty ecstatic.

If a rookie will be our best player, we're giving the **** Celtics a pick in the upcoming draft.

It's Russell. And we're winning 35-40 games.

I'll say Russell pretty easily. I love Ingram's upside and Ball's fit, but I don't think either will seriously challenge Russell for the title of best player next year. It actually wouldn't surprise me if D'Lo made the Western Conference AS team next year.

I actually think the opposite. Of all the guys, Russell has the best guaranteed floor. He will probably be decent to good next season. If some other player usurps him, like a Ingram or Ball, the Lakers will be in great shape with their youth and going forward. Russell as the best player can be a terrible team like last season.

Randle is getting overlooked here. It's his contract year and he's in shape. I'm expecting big things from him. It'll be a race between him and Russell. But Randle will definitely be our best player.

Randle's garbage defense at a position where defense matters significantly more takes him out of the running.

There have been countless studies on the impacts of contract years on player performance, most have shown that the correlation is inconclusive at best.

If we select him, he is definitely starting day 1. Best PG on the roster and key to the engine.

Offensively, at the beginning of the year, Russell would be the best player.

Ball would start right away and I think would be a very exciting player to watch.
By the end of the year, considering play making, assists, defense, I can see Ball moving into the discussion for best player on the team.

All of this of course would change if we get PGLA.

Probably. At least I hope so. Bah, as much as you guys might hat this idea. I would give up Ball/Mozgov for George right now. I mean what do we really lose? A guy who might not turn out that great? If he does, well at least we got Paul George and got rid of Moz.
