He really picked it up his last month with New Orleans and when he was in Sacramento.

At Sac he averaged 15 points on 48% shooting, 42.8% from 3. Its probably better than what Russell was doing in the last couple months of the season that got the Lakers fans so excited.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

LOL. D'Angelo was a top-40 player after the ASB last year; Hield didn't even crack the top 100 over that span. Lame comp.

Out of this group of first and second teammers, in a few years, Ingram will be the standout.
Embiid will be good too, but we'll see about his injuries.

By what measure are you saying DAngelo was top 40 and Hield didnt crack top 100?

After all star break, 21 games, DAR averaged 18.5 pts, 3 rebs, 5 ast on 42.4% fg and 35.6% from 3 in 33.3 min

In 25 games in SAC, Hield averaged 15.1 pts, 4.2 rebs, 1.8 asts on 48%fg and 42.8% from 3 in 29.1 min

Yeah... okay.

Ignoring Hield's lack of defensive stats won't magically make him equal to D'Angelo. Even the likes of Jameer Nelson for ****'s sake averaged more steals per game. Buddy Hield sucks.

I don't have a problem with this.

Ingram finished the season strong, but he was absoloutely dreadful the first half of the season. Just because he has such high potential and played so many minutes it doesn't justify him getting awarded based on the season he had. I hope this motivates him and he comes out with a vengeance.

Last year I believed Dlo got screwed and had a better rookie season than booker did. This year, I realistically dont think Ingram had a better season than any of those guys. Though besides a healthy embiid, I expect him to have a better sophmore season than all of them.

Eh, to be fair, DLO isn't exactly gary payton in that side of the floor.

However, I will say this, and I've seen a lot of Hield is better Russell comments on the GB, but Hield is two years older than Russell. Also, even looking at small sample size, he isn't no where near Russell when it comes to playmaking. To me, as prospects, its really not close. Russell all the way. But regarding the end of last season, they both pretty played well...Hield's efficiency for a rookie was impressive.

Its kind of funny that we drafted #7, #46, #2, #27, #34 and #2, #32 in consecutive years but the only rookie to make first team was Clarkson, picked at #46 which is our lowest pick in that duration.

Everything you said is fair and reasonable. I havent read the Hield/Russell comments on GB. But he has been great in SAC so far. Give him that. DAR is younger and could have more potential but that doesnt erase what Hield did end of last season.

I say let's give JC a shot this season probably starting at SG. With DLo gone maybe he can come back to be the player before there was a DLo. Plus I think we only have JC and Hart as of this moment as our SGs in the team.
